That sucks. Def go ahead with an AR. Build your own too, super easy and it gives you a better understanding how it works. Plus when you build your own, you get what you want out of it too. I also say build your own, cause ppl will buy let's say a Ruger Ar 556, shortly down the road they swap out trigger, the stock, the hand guard...next thing you know, you only got the barrel and upper and lower left and you spent even a shit ton more money (my brother did that. Spent 600 on the gun, ended up spending like 600 more in a few upgrades)
