From what i've seen sulfur only appears to make the ignotion-temp go from 440C to about 300C and add alot of smoke.

Also a little update: because when i tested and it only seemed to sizzle i decided to get rid of the whole batch, but this time i went up in a blackpowder like style, not perfect but decent. Any idea how blackpowder should be tested since My way obviously is faulty?
