While I've never shot a Nugget because I'm not a poorfag, I've shot plenty of Garands and 1903s, which use a similar round.

They really don't kick at all, a bit more flip than an AR but no more into the shoulder.

My guess is that you weren't tight on the rifle. You need to really jam the stock into your shoulder.

If my buddy's like 94 lb GF can shoot a 12 gauge, which kicks more than any normal rifle, you can learn to too.

This. I grew up hunting my whole life. I have shot 30-30, 8mm and 30-06 regularly and always read about how badass the nugget kicks. My friend recently went shooting with me and offered to bring his, as curious as i was, the first shot was filled with overwhelming disappointment. I thought i was shooting a shoulder mounted .357.

Put a scope on it. They are a blast. Granted I had a private 50yard range at my house so I could shoot whatever I wanted and however I wanted. Shooting paper from a static flat range gets boring with any gun. I used to position old shotgun shells all over and snipe them. Sometime I would shoot coins. Soda cans are fun. I gave a quarter which a shot a hole through the center of to my gf and she made it into a necklace.

Don't get me wrong: for $40-$50, a Mosin is the best gun you'll ever own. But for THREE HUNDRED bucks man, shit...sit on it & keep saving for something decent, man! The thing is fun when you're feeling like being a retard, but at $40 you're really only "merely pretending" you're an actual regard to spend much more than that on one.

Realistically...a Mosin, without knowing how cheap they are (or were, I guess) how much do you think they're worth?
