Probably not nowadays, colt worshippers are treating those like collectible relics now.

But in regards to OP, make sure it's in great shape mechanically too. People tend to run shitty handloads in .25 acp guns to save money and a lot of ones you see have fucked up barrels from squibs. Bring a good bore light and check for bulges in the chamber and bore

It's not a bad choice for the price but also keep your eyes out for bauer .25s, they're nice American made clones of either the vest pocket or baby browning
Don't listen to anyone who tries to sell you on .22 over .25, .25 has markedly better performance out of a short, pocketgun barrel.
The old tired meme of .25 being less powerful then .22 comes of people spouting wikistats without considering the test barrel lengths.
Also, .25 certainly has the edge in reliability but that goes without saying

You can also get some decent performing hollowpoints for .25acp if you do decide to use it as some last-ditch gun.

Do keep in mind however most older .25s aren't drop-safe so it's probably not a great idea to carry with one in the chamber.

I picked up a plain jane blued one for $200-230 (can't remember) that was practically brand new. I swear to God it's one of my best shooting pistol. I'm not a great shot at all, but I can do wonders with that Bobcat.
