The pit is small as fuck and always packed with regular people, can't say it'll be a good spot for a meet up. Also it's about a 75m walk from your cars to the shooting area which blows.

Oh there's a bunch of places to go, it's just that the Triangle Pit is a well known established spot. It's even got posted hours. I think it's mostly because it's easy to get to.

I found a swell logging road up in the mountains by accident once, but the lack of parking would make it hard to get many people there. Plus it's like a 5 mile hike uphill to get to the spot that's actually got room to shoot.
I think it's mostly just a matter of no one here going innawoods anymore.
