I have a 40ds
sometimes fail to rotate and "jams" Not sure what's up with it, but I need to send it into the factory or some shit because it's happening more frequently now.
This renders the gun inoperable. So no, not a good CCW gun despite how great it is when it actually does fire.

There are some instances where it's not so bad. I'm going to be starting nursing school in a couple months and my revolver doesn't print under my scrubs. I carry it in a shoulder holster and, with a snap button scrub top, it's extremely easy to access it. I get that most people won't be in my particular situation, but you can usually find some sort of outfit to accommodate your carry weapon.

That's the danger of buying Chiappa. Despite its premium price point, the quality is definitely below that of S&W or Ruger.

That said, are you sure it isn't a maintenance issue? The problem you're describing can happen if the area under the extractor star gets dirty. You have to make sure that part is spotless--no unburned powder, no oil to attract unburned powder, etc.

Yeah, give that area a once-over and see if the problem persists. The area under the extractor star is as critical as the feed ramp in an automatic in that small deficiencies in the condition of that area will lead to function problems, even in top-tier guns.

You could probably get close to something like that using a G33 with G31, or G32, mags with an adapter and some kind of compensator. Sort of like this Glock 29 but with a proper comp.
