Well I wasted about 20k worth of liquid assets that I inherited when I was a dumb ass 21 year old, all on pistols and rifles.
I would buy them (plus tons of ammo) at the local gun store and Cabela's, then when I would got bored of them I would sell them to Cabela's. Bought news ones and repeated the process.
Obviously they're not going to pay back the entire amount, only about 50% more or less, and that's where most of the money I inherited went. Completely down the drain. Now I only own two Glocks and a one USP.
You want to know the fucked up part about all of this? The money that my grandmother left behind for me was specifically instructed by a letter she wrote to me before her death to be used only for my college education, which I still haven't finished 9 years later.

>in the 90k tax bracket 12 years later.
Moral of the story is, anyone who thinks just cos they're poor they need government support: is lazy.
I only got my licence last year so my arsenal isn't too impressive, only worth about 1500. I managed my finances autistically to prevent being out of money. I should be buying something at the end of the month though.

I got two disbursements totalling around $90k. The first was about $30k which I used years ago to pay off all debt and buy a few guns. Did it over time and make good trades/buys. The next one was $56k which I used 35 for a down payment plus equity from the old house to get 20% down, a sweet ass heat pump for my huge house, about $10k in guns some furniture, pool table, reloading equipment, nice safe and a TV.
The point is that if you get money take the biggest portion and invest. I chose to invest in my house and guns. I spread the gun money out to maximize it and ended up with a really decent collection.
