I have however found that lanyards can make excellent impromptu shoulder holsters for guns that you want to CC but can't because you have no CC holster.

There is a small leather lanyard that goes there. It seems stupid on the german one because it doesn't have the security pedal. But if you look on a swiss P06, P06/24 or P06/29 they all have a security pedal and a small leather lanyard that can go under it. Basicaly you secure the lanyard under the pedal as a tertiary safety during storage.
