Personally - I despise it.
Objectively - it gives work to extremely skilled, talented, hard working craftsmen, so I'm ok with it.

I don't think we should hate it - it let's them put food on the table.
I'll always respect manual labor artists, be it tattoos or jewelry, even if I don't use it.

Personally, wouldn't mind gothic stylizations. Black, silver, dark blue oxidations, dark wood with incrustations, etc. Stylization that doesn't make the gun like something without any practical value.
