Get a Yugo and pretend.

Oh look it's 2001. What space time anomaly are you using and how many crystals did it cost?

Did Yugoslavia make full length Mausers?
Not just carbines like the M48.

I picked up one for $200 from a small, middle of nowhere fudd shop last year. Try stopping in any old gun shop when traveling somewhere.

Oh okay. Doesn't have the 'roller coaster' sight but it's full length.

Get a Yugo-capture.
My LGS was selling a Russian Capture German made K98k as a yugo. Which means I paid $200 less than the usual asking price.

Since when are slavshits german dumbass
Are yugos as bad as I've seen people say? I've been thinking of getting babby's first mauser and yugo 24/47s and 48s seem to be the most common.

>yugo
just dont

Yugos are fine, they're just not German
Unless you get a Yugo M98/48, which are Kerman Kar98ks that were refurbished by Yugoslavia

There are a lot of German-made 98k's that were captured and used by the Yugos. The only part on mine that isn't German is the magazine floor plate.

They beat the shit out of late-war German rifles. Those things will kill you.
Old Turkish Mauser were made in Berlin for a contract with the Turkish government. Although they're a bit rougher than the ones made for Germany, they are still technically "German." Try to find a model 1938 and avoid any with K.Kale marked on them. The last two I bought were under $200 each.
