IR caps dont exist for LED lights, they work by filtering incandescent light into just IR light (and they are shit anyway).

If you are going to be shooting shit outside a gen 3 nod + the moon will be more than enough to laser a hog assuming its not wearing a ghillie suit.

If you dont have a laser an IR light can work well enough for hosing down a hog at close range but its more difficult to shoulder a rifle.

Excuse the shit photo (camera phone + handheld nod + holding laser + trying not to fall on my ass) but you can see that at 500m the laser is as bright as background lights coming off houses.

Rebuilt this today. Got tired of having to run a fucking 13oz buffer and squinting through gas to the face. Even with that heavy of a buffer it was cycling at somewhere around 900RPM with the suppressor on it. Fucking blew out two H2's and a buffer tube before going to a tungsten buffer.

Why can't LWRC make a fucking upper with keymod or mlok?

Yeah, considered many things. Main reason I went with a piston was to keep it running cool.

A 7" DI upper with a pistol length gas tube cycles fast as all fuck, before the tungsten buffer I could literally empty a mag before the first round hit the ground.

Three mags in and the gas tube, suppressor and upper part of the gas block started glowing. I've melted AFG's and MBUS's to the handguard and warped the suppressor.

Cycles everything I can feed it perfectly, superb build quality.

Only complaints are their gay rail segment interface and that their "self regulating" gas system is only so "self regulating". Be smart and get the A5 with the switchable gas block if you plan on suppressing it.

I can run my PSD without a gas switch with and without a supressor. However this new 10.5" with the switch runs a thousand times smoother.

I had a T5Xi 3-15 a few years ago. The turrets felt really great, SCR reticle was nice if a little busy, the glass was bretty good with a little fringing. More or less mid-grade Leupold/Nightforce tier. I had the same problem a lot of people had, the turrets were not accurate. I'd crank in 2 mil and get 2.2 mil, etc.

Steiner changed the turrets to fix that issue recently, and even gave old T-series owners a free upgrade to the new turrets. I really wish I had kept mine but because of the turrets I sold it and bought an IOR 3.5-18 tank.

I've not used one but the Steiner M-series has always been highly regarded, made in Germany so you know it's good.

tl;dr I have lots of regrets.

I like mine really well but it's the poorfag Steiner. Still a very nice optic though, especially for its price.

Turrets feel good but the battery one is a little mushy. 1x so you can do both eyes open, and the illuminated dot is visible in bright sun light. Holds zero just fine when removed and reattached.
