Am I the only one who think's .22lr is a viable self defense cartridge. I personally prefer 9mm but i'd actually take a .22lr CCW over a full sized .45 ACP for EDC.
>>
Yeah you're certifiably retarded

.22LR has legitimate uses besides just cheap plinking. Self defense is not one of them.

Yeah, if you ignore the reliability issues shit's gtg!

Have fun when Tyrone and his boyz rapes your little sister and they all laugh at you. The sound will echo in your head forever.

Number of rounds on target > Stopping power

9mm, .45 acp .22lr. The result is you still have a hole in you and the majority of people aren't going to continue attacking you after they've been shot three times.

>>32974308
What? no, a 22lr will stop somebody BUT you'll go to prison for being a sadistic fuckface and torturing your enemy.

I'd love a Kel-Tec PMR-30 in .17 HMR.

.22 bounces around until it finds an artery then it travels down to the penis artery and explodes

it was banned by the geneva convention for being inhumane

This is true. That's why I hunt elephants and grizzly with .17HMR.

Retard.
>>
>>32974376
So long as your not teabagging your tiny nuts over jerome while shooting .22 into his scrotum I don't think self defense is considered torture.

>elephants and grizzly

I'm not defending against the cast of the wizard of Oz retard, we're talking about some nigger with a switchblade trying to rob me.

Okay? The point is I'm talking about the scale of your target. Yeah, a .22LR will kill somebody. Not necessarily very quickly, not with enough reliability to IMMEDIATELY drop somebody, which is essentially what you need. Also, you're ignoring the fact that .22LR is notorious for jamming. This isn't a problem on the range when you can quickly fix it. It's a big problem when you have a 180 pound nigger barreling down on you. You're a fucking idiot.

I wouldn't hunt elephant with a 5.56, either. If .22LR had legitimate uses as a self defense round, somebody somewhere would market it as such. Nobody does, because at that point is borderline reckless endangerment for putting the idea in people's heads that they'll be safe carrying a .22 as their CC.

You seem very delusional and angry that people are pointing out your idea is stupid. I'm sorry, but it is. Do yourself a favor and don't learn it the hard way, just carrying a proper CC weapon.

Never mind, carry away. You need to get taken out of the gene pool before you have a chance to breed.

Revolvers with an internal hammer are actually ideal for concealed carry and blowing away somebody in extremely close proximity. Certainly not in .22

Certain .22LR rounds will actually meet the FBI's 12 inch penetration requirements even through denim and cloth, but it's nowhere near ideal. If you have nothing else, it's better than nothing, but your options with .22LR are limited to 6-10 shot revolvers and 10 round semi autos. If you're going to have something like that, you might as well just carry a small 9mm that'll have 10(+) rounds anyway in the same package.
