The issue is that in previous game the areas of decks that you didn't specialize in were limited by high point cost, in RD they are simply locked out. So if you don't specialize in infantry you can take only 5 cards which isn't really enough to wage a dedicated infantry push. This coupled with changes to the way ATGM's work and the relative strength increases to artillery effectively killed the infantry-town-stronghold meta. A good workaround would be that the more damaged the buildings of a town got, the higher their defensive multipliers.

I could make a walk through to beat that campaign relatively easy, but seeing as I have not interest in doing that I give you a few hints. I've come out of this battle many times without any losses. It's difficult, but doable.

In the first naval battle, put all 6 SH-60B ASMs and 2 OHPs in delta, 1 OHP in charlie, 1 OHP in lima, and 1 LCU in charlie as far towards your side as possible.

The first time you spend points will be for 1 OHP to send to juliet, the second will be for the Kongo and send it to the middle of delta and charlie.

Right when the match starts send the ASM helis after the Sovremmeniy in november. They should take it down about 50%. Then send them back to the LCU as fast as possible and back to finish him.

Put the 3 OHPs in a line at the top of charlie with all three facing mike (this way they can fire missiles both directions without turning).

After this battle start sending both of the other naval groups to the left side of worst korea. The 20 point naval group you buy turn 2 should handle the other Russian naval group.
