25yd or 50yd zero for red dot? Max I'll be shooting is 100yd, will be under 50yd most of the time.

Planning to buy my first red dot, /k/ recommended a HoloSun over a Vortex the other day, but I recently found out red dots don't work if you have an astigmatism, which I'm pretty sure I have.

I'm very near-sighted and wear glasses to correct it, should that be ok?
I'm of course gonna go to the LGS and look through one before I buy, but I think they only stock Vortex red dots, but they should be relatively similar, right?

Anybody else here have astigmatism and a red dot that wants to share their experience?

I got it with the PA "deluxe" mount from optics planet for a little under 180 shipped. I haven't gotten the chance to take it out yet though. Been super busy with work. It's pretty heavy for what it is, but I bought it more to get the feel of using a low power variable. This is my first AR. I'll be sure to post something as soon as I get a day off to go shoot.

I think I'm going to get a Lee kit. Its solid and if I ever decide to upgrade I can just sell it to my dad. I'm looking at just starting with some target rounds until I feel comfy enough to really develop a good load. Plus I can start reloading for more than my AR down the road.

LWRC factory ambi selector is bretty good, the levers are held on with roll pins so you don't have a big ugly screw on each side, and it's got a nitride finish that even my sweaty hands haven't managed to cause rust on yet. Action is really smooth ever since I dabbed some grease on the detent.

Well I just finished featureless'ing my rifles for the Cali weapons ban. I'm honestly surprised how well I'm adjusting to the grip wraps and ambi safeties on my guns. Plus the Hera Arms CQR Stock is pretty nice albeit a bit on the short side.
