>canucks can get Russian SKS's for $219 canadian
Anyway to order one of these and have it sent to an FFL as a burger? Or do shit laws prevent someone from ordering a gun from another country?

>>
That would be arms trafficking. There's laws against it in both countries and a few international treaties you would be violating.

Fuck my fucking burger life.

It's WAY easier to bring guns up to Canada from the US than it is to go the other way. For a SKS, you'd be looking at 922r, ITAR and possibly having it fall under the USA's Russian goods import ban regardless of what country it's coming from. Assuming you jump through the hoops and it's actually possible, your $219 rifle could easily end up costing you over $1000 or more. Short answer: If it were legally possible and economically worthwhile, American companies would be clearing out our shelves on a regular basis.
>>
Unfortunately rumor has it this will be the last year of crazy sks prices.
>>
>>32961340
Uh huh. Lemme guess, Trump gonna swim them across the Bering Strait on his back personally right?
>>
>>32961426
Easing up on sanctions in exchange for Snowden and some other concessions is a real possibility.
>>
>>32961340
What do you mean anon?
>>
>>32961453
And the bi-lateral treaty that banned their import in the first place...?

Oh you probably weren't even out of diapers then were you?
>>
U.S. Customs only inspects about 1% of incoming packages. Guns are pretty obvious though. Receiving parts is pretty easy. At most they will be confiscated. If a serial numbered receiver is inspected, you will be prosecuted federally. Not worth the risk.
>>
>>32961588
Wasn't gonna do it if it could get me buttraped by tyrone in prison. I mainly just wanted to know if it was legal.
>>
>>32961270
Still, if you had the money it would be brand new Izhmash SKS.

Anon can correct me, but I think he means that either the supply of accessible surplus SKS is drying up, or the Canadian sanctions against Russia will prevent any more from being imported. The large supplies Canada got previously came from Ukraine, and they are a bit busy right now and need those rifles. Also, I hear they are selling them to African nations who pay more.
>>
>>32961471
Oh I forgot treaties are set in stone and immutable.

Fucking idiot

If it's not for profit, you probably wouldn't do time. It's about like lying on your taxes. If you're poor, all they can do is take everything you've got, which ain't much if you're willing to risk it for a couple hundred bucks savings.

Where are you gonna get the 67 votes to withdraw from it? Where is the Russian support to do the same? It's been in place for over 20 fucking yeara and no entity of any consequence has raised a single peep about it.

But no, I'm the fucking idiot. Silly me, I thought I was being realistic instead of a drooling retard who thinks God Emperor Trump can make anime real.

I'd gladly lose my ability to own shitty chink rifles, SKS/SVT rifles for uncapped magazines and FN FALs.

Easy choice.
>>
>>32961936
>An auto-SKS with an extended mag

Not really.
>>
>>32961655

Not really. The SKS's we get range from factory new, never issued (I own two such 1953 Tula's) to arsenal refurb (95% of them) to a mashup of parts that works but no way in hell do any numbers match (what Canadian Tire usually sells). Also consider that the magazines are usually destroyed by welding that stupid capacity limiter pin into the bottom.

I own both and seriously, a modern production Ruger Mini-14 or Mini-30 is a far better rifle to spend $1000 on.

>>32962317

At current exchange, $167.40.
>>
>>32962501
Its not hard to get a fal in Canada
>>
they also will never CCW, have the right to self defense, have mags over 5 rounds, not have storage requirements, cant travel with a restricted weapon unless going to and from a approved shooting range.

but muh sks and svt.

The pic is of an AK though. You can clearly see the hammer and bolt carrier.

The bolt carrier and bolt of the type 81 will not fit or work in a kalashnikov rifle.

This (>>32962231) is a valmet type 78. So it's pretty much an AK

Actually, I don't think it's a Type 78 because the receiver is different, but it's definitely looks like a Valmet

>>32963124
What is it precisely?
>>
>>32963173
Its a valmet m78 light machine gun
>>
>>32963230
I thought that might have been what it was, but the receiver looked a bit strange to me. I've only seen 2 Valmets ever in the states and one of them was an M78 such as yours. Nice gun!
>>
>>32959890
I'm confused. How come as a burger I can own an AK but not a SKS?
>>
>>32964178
Show me where anyone said you can't own an SKS?

They just cost more in America due to different import laws.
