You could consider getting the same rail I did. SLR makes the Ion to fit a few standards I think, but I assume the Aero 308 height is also DPMS high.

Thank you. The BCM KMR-A has the look I want and from the little I know BCM makes good shit.

I definitely can't afford a $1,000+ optic like an acog or a good scope, however I don't want to go cheap on a PA AD-MDS or Bushnell TR and regret it down the road. I live in the city so I didn't think that magnification would really be good for me. It sounds like the Aimpoint PRO is what I want.

Been wearing Merrells a long time. Still make a good boot but the overall quality just isn't there. Not sure if it's due to sourcing cheaper materials, outsourcing construction or both. Plenty capable for daily wear and even some light hiking, but they don't like 5+ years like they used to. Last couple pairs of MOABs I've had starting wearing fast and even ripping apart after serious use on the trail hunting or hiking.

TL;DR
Good boots/shoes that need more frequent replacement than they used to. There are better options on the market for long-term durability and hard use though.

Biggest reason I keep buying MOABs is because they are light and fit my feet in an extremely comfy manner. Like having them as bad weather, shooting or general light use mid-cuts.

I think they make a mid cut of it, or something like it. I used to wear Moab ventilators, and I still have a pair that's beat to shit, but for boots I use some Keens and for everyday shoes I wear some Salomon X-Screams. The soles are stiff as hell and basically amazing.
