Childhood is liking the AK.
Adulthood is realizing the M16 makes more sense.

I shiggy diggy.
>>32941607
Not really, none of it matters considering the only operating you'll ever do is from your couch.
Why are AR fanboys so insecure they have to make these threads multiple times a day?
>>32941607
I think you got that wrong way around, OP dear.
Was a complete AR faggot as a kid, because it looked so much cooler and modern than a "wood covered pipe" that was an AK.
Then I actually started doing research and shooting guns, and my world turned upside down.

gotta justify their 2k gun purchase, eventhough a sub-1k rifle does the same job, even better at times.
>>32941607
True. I used to really want an AK as my go-to rifle, but when I grew up and realized that being an American means I'm surrounded by 5.56 and AR parts it makes way more sense to buy an AR.
That doesn't mean I can't also enjoy my AK though.
I'm just going to get a good AR15 before diving into other rifles. I want an AK, but the AR is more practical, and with prices being so low, you'd be a fool to not go with an AR.

I like both so I'm a bit impartial to the whole argument, but a 600 dollar AR is going to be of substantially better quality than a 600 dollar ak. At their best even, an AK is going to be a worse value than an AR at the same price point.

No.
Adulthood is being richfag enough to afford both.
>>32941765
kek, funny when a $500 AR's meet all expectations when you have to spend well over $1000 for a just-functional AK.
