I'm not sure how I feel about open carry rifles. Only person I've seen in public holding a rifle was a cop responding to someone firing a shotgun in a bar parking lot. I'm all for gun rights and I believe anyone over the age of 21 with no criminal record should have the right to whatever firearm they want. At the same time, seeing someone in a public place with a rifle would undoubtedly make me uncomfortable. I don't know the person and they are combat-ready. There doesn't seem to be a way to even carry a rifle in public without having it at the ready, because there is risk of someone grabbing it for some reason. I dunno. I'd probably still go to a peaceful open carry protest with the ar 15 I'm piecing together (poorfag so it will be a while) but I'd probably leave the mag out and leave the bolt open.
