The germans were always at the forefront of camo. I don't really count the helmets of the Stosstruppen in ww1 as more than a curiosity. But - iirc - after the war there was some german professor on the topic of camouflage in nature whose works influenced the new camo patterns, starting off with splintertarn. Italians were getting on the ball too. But it was the SS which really got all the new patterns out from research and into the battle fields. They were really just building on experience, but also working with many designs simultaneously - something that was typical of them; the philosophy that internal competition will produce the best end result. And who else have embraced this philosophy later? Russia, and also China. I am fully believing that if the 3rd Reich had prevailed they would have been looking a lot like Russia of today.

Service uniforms, then as now: elegantly cut, modern and comfortable. You would probably have difficulties seeing difference between theirs and British or American ones.

Jackboots for combat uniforms until... far longer than they should. Considering how long it took the russians to switch, who knows.
Combat uniforms very different from what we have now, because they would be preparing for the final war against america/china/whatever, not some silly occupation war. So, more stealthy, less tacticool. Hard to tell the details; how military doctrine would turn out after 70 years is pure speculation.

Because the ancestor of the G3, the Gerat-06H, was developed as a cheaper, faster replacement for the Stg.44. If the war doesn't turn against the Germans, then they have no reason to pursue that particular branch of development.

Also, they were on the intermediate-caliber train pretty hard; they wouldn't scale back up to a full-power cartridge in an assault rifle.

A good point. However, in the context of 3rd Reich winning a war and leaving them with control of Europe at least, they would still be a far cry from ruling the whole world. I find it difficult to think that they would not continue to work to create weapons not just cheaper, but also theoretically superior to the other power blocks. They would look at the best American weapons and try to outperform them in every way.
