Have you had any experiences with norinco?

I have:

I bought a norinco m14 (m305) few years ago. Constant failure to feed and failure to eject.

Got a proper scope mount, replaced the main spring and the ms guide, the piston and the extractor.

Works flawlessly now, although some of the mags that initially came with it don't work properly. bought several usgi mags abd they work great

How are the norinco 1911s?

Tl:dr norinco or other knockoff gun experiences

buy shotgun.
rusts constantly.
lose rear ghostring since the stock norinco screws are garbage and find out on the internet i was supposed to replace them with american screws and locktite em. the screws were available at any hardware store for 5 bucks in a common thread. not like that will do me any good now since i lost the damn thing and customer support is non existent.
the firing pin breaks cant contact iac end up replacing it with a real rem part. 15 bucks with shipping.
replace the stock with wood for looks find out the reason the gun weighs so damn buck more than a rem is the plastic stock is thick as fuck. it actually got lighter by a lb when replaced with wood.
despite all the flaws which would cause a shitstorm for an actual 870 im okay with the gun. cause the gun was 150 bucks new. at that price as long as it didnt explode in your hands its a good buy. even with all the "upgrades" and replacements its still under 250.
if i had to redo things i would have not bought furniture for it and the only mod would be the screws. its excellent as a $150 gun. at 300 not so much.
rough as fuck but still a better value than an express.

typical chink shit just in gun form.

The 1911s are solid. Better than quite few other makers.
Finish is not the greatest and there are some machine marks and sharp edges present.

I have a norinco AK in 5.56, other than the unobtanium mags the rifle is great.
>>
>>32904080
one would hope they can make AKs decently considering Soviet Russia gave them the tooling, plans, and probably trained them too.
>>
>>32903388
I'm mostly impressed by their logo making them so easy to mistake for an early 90's technology firm
>>
>>32903388
My m305 works flawlessly bar one mag that doesn't want to release properly.
I also have a commercial sks that apart from canted front sight (it's a chopped 16inch "para") which I fixed is also reliable.
Both guns are good value with regard to price.
>>
>>32904184
The price of the m305 has almost doubled in the last few years.

Also i had that problem with the mags, i ground a bit down on the magazines catch. One mag i took a bit too much off though, falls out when firing
>>
>>32904080
They dont take regular 5.56 AK mags?
>>
>>32904460
at the time those were being made there was no standardized 5.56 ak mag
>>
Thinking of buying a bolt action .22 bunny gun made by them, heard good things about it for the price.
I guess maybe the simpler the design the better quality Norinco can produce and still maintain their margins.
In Aus their .22 is around half of every competitors I can get my hands on, new.
>>
>>32904117
They really can, imho chicom AKs are some of the best.

>>32904460
Nope
>>
>>32904053
NORINCO 1911 and AKs, bitch. If u ghetto and u need some reliable boom sticks, they're the way to go. I would take a NORICO 1911 over kimbers and springfields. And I would take a NORICO or Polytech AK over basically anything that isn't touched by rifle dynamics or definitive arms.

>>
Bought a t97, worked flawlessly so far but I think I might sell it, I don't enjoy it that much.
>>
>>32905343
I wish they kept the original mag release on it, the one on the export version is workable, but deeply retarded.
>>
>>32905343
It doesnt look that much fun

what was that norinco "ak pattern" rifle that was legal in Canada?
>>
>>32905266
It's the only thing we have going for us, in regards to gun fun
>>
My experiences with Norinco are pretty much the same as anyone else's. I've had three shotguns from them that worked excellently, and then a .22 that works like ass. My 1887 clone works like a charm, still my favourite gun in my collection. The only thing that went wrong with it is the same thing that happens with many Norinco shotguns, the bead fell out while firing. For a short time I also had a 12.5'' Coach Gun, it extracted well and the hammers worked just fine. The third shotgun I had was one of their mag fed shotguns, it worked great, a really solid shotgun made of steel.

And the bad one, a Kar98k .22 trainer, it's sights came off, so I punched the front sight over and now it hits right on, and I believe the bore has to be reamed a little because casings constantly stick in the action. That being said, other than $1,000 single shot trainers, no one else makes a .22 Kar98k that I can shoot for peanuts, so I'm willing to overlook and fix the issues it has.

The thing with Norinco for me is they make very interesting and affordable products. While they generally cheap out on fit and finish, typically they make up for that in materials and price. In my book, I'd recommend their guns, I've had pretty decent luck with them.

>>
>>32903833
someone post the MGS edit of it
>>
>>32903388
I have a norinco shotgun (rem 870 clone) and a norinco t97. Both work great, although the iron sights on the t97 leave a lot to be desired (so I mounted an optic)
>>
>>32905902
type 81, but they haven't hit the market yet.
>>
I asked in another thread, but does anyone know which of the manufacturers that Norinco uses that the best and which are the worst?
>>
>>32906835
rule of thumb is if its a military or domestic gun made for use its decent quality because the govt paid for the tooling and they had standards examples being aks or the 870 clone.
if its something for export only to be sold for profit like the 1887 they cheaped the fuck out on the tooling and use the minimum effort to finish a products.
once they decide hey we are never going to use this and the end users halfway around the globe fuck it cut all costs maximize profits cant hear their complaints over here. its like the early sks and the export only chink sks.
>>
>>32906927
It would be interesting to be able to recognise those differences. Are there people out there who make those distinctions in terms of buyer guides?

My Dad bought a Norinco 1911 sometime around `90 and it was handed down to me. Somewhere around 750rds, I noticed pic related on the barrel lugs. Turns out as many as 1:5 produced in the 80s and 90s had the same issues. Definite quality control issues.

>>
Norinco m16 aka norinco cq? Seen some for 600 dollars. Too good to be true?
>>
>>32903601
>IAC
neat, I've been wanting an opinion on these. They sound like they're about in line with Howa Escorts, RIA marines, and Stevens. I do not recommend Chinese shotguns to people. The solid budget options are either mavericks or a few select Turkish manufacturers that have been able to build a reputation over the last 20 years. Krals are pretty stout and anything coming out of Huglu is usually good quality.
>>
>>32907731
id rate them slightly better than those since the base design is better and when something breaks you can replace it easily with real parts made by some one who gave a shit.

Norinco SKS:

Short barreled one fit together well, machining was decent, fed reliably and shot straight out to 100m.

Long barreled parts seemed slightly mismatched, making it a struggle to field strip, machining was functional but not pretty, shot straight but had issues with the magazine (shortened import mag, not standard.)

Norinco AR-15:
Alright finish, but for some flaking black stuff on the Front sight, bolt carrier has ugly tool marks and dull finish, Shoots straight, functions flawlessly.

Norinco M305:
Rather nasty finish and crudely made rear sight.
Functions well, but Ive only put about 150 rounds through it so far.

Norinco AK
Finish a bit dull, some sharp edges on guide rails etc that are a bit of a hazard while cleaning, front sight slightly canted.
Shoots straight, functions flawlessly.

Type 97
Surprisingly good finish, fits together well, even if the internals are a FAMAS' and AK's dumpster baby.
Difficult to group well, possibly due to the mass of the striker assembly moving while shooting.
>>
>>32903388
m305, threw away the plastic stock, stuck a walnut one on from freds. Replaced the spring guide, replaced rear sight with a micro red dot.

I have had no issues aside from the rear sight pocket seems to be crooked. My mini had far more problems with it and in Canuikstan support for both is essentially zero.
>>
I have a JW14 that can't hit anything past 40 feet.

JW2000 which is cool as fuck

Might as well as getting an indian-made gun. At I'm not making them godless commies richer with my hard earned cash
>>
Not me, but a guy I know bought a Noricno JW-15 bolt action. Bolt functioned like shit, at 20 metres the gun should a grouping the size of a fucking dinner plate and some of the .22lr ammo used got so badly jammed in the barrel the bullet had to be forced out with a metal rod and a hammer. Extractor was fucked too from what I heard.
The rifle was brand fucking new too

Israeli Army reservist here. In 2014 we found about ~200 Iranian-purchased Norinco CQ's buried under a house in Gaza. They had a little note in there written in Arabic to only fire them when absolutely needed so I assume the quality of the guns aren't very good

Gov official we talked to later said they were gonna get confiscated and re-sold to somewhere in Africa or Asia most likely

How does your Dominion Arms 1887 work?

I don't know what it is about it, but it's by quite a margin my favourite gun that I have. Also I did really like the JW2000 I had, I sold it to avoid too much redundancy in my collection. Some day I think I'll get another one though, they sure are unique guns.
