The M300C now that I have it. 300 lumens, decent throw, mediocre spill, doesn't torch your eyesight bouncing off whitewall after your eyes are adjusted to darkness.

The X300U-B (600 lumens) wasn't bad on the rifle, but too strong for my liking and not enough throw at longer distance (which makes sense as a pistol light).

I finally have enough to afford a rifle, but I know fuck-all about the complicated world of the AR platform. I just got out of the army and I loved shooting the M-4. Is there a civilian AR that is basically the exact same thing? Referring mostly to sights. Please have pity on me for I am ignorant, but willing to learn.

Only ever put about 500 rounds through a rifle with it attached. Been using it as a spare truck/hiking/camping light and it's held up fine. Pretty impressed that its performance is right on part with the P2X fury with regards to intensity, throw, etc. It's heavy and built like a tank, but the real concern would be the internals and how long they hold up to the impulse from years worth of shooting. Can't give you a firm answer there.

Got a question.

I keep on having light primer strikes on a recent AR build. The trigger is milspec (ALG-QMS lying around from a past gun) so hammer energy shouldn't be the issue. Ammo (M193) is good and ran across 2 other guns without issue. The bolt is a little tight in the carrier, but translates smoothly. Gas system runs .223 just fine so it shouldn't be under gassed. Does anyone have an idea as to what could be causing this? Could it just be the parts need to wear in? (about 150rnds through it)
