Anyone bought one of the makarovs off classicfirearms new shipment? Are they a decent gun in general? Possibly considering CCing one, anyway makarov thread

Dickgrips.
Fuck if I ever buy a thing from classic. They are so deceptive in their marketing its ridiculous. Fucked me over good on beretta 92s police surplus. Paid for hand select received a beeat up chupacabra shit

That sucks man, I bought one of the Yugo sks they had and my hand select was phenomenal
>>32883843
I'm sure they get it right most of the time. Look my gun is mechanically perfect so I'm not fucked over immensely. I just expect that hand select should be as minty as possible

I think they only choose from a best of 10, I mean with this makarov particularly as long as it is mechanically straight I'm cool, still sucks that you had that happen

now i cant un see it
I carry one. Love it. Grab the hornady ammo before those fuckers discontinue it like every other ammo I love from them. Practice a lot, because newbies always say it hurts their hands and I believe this is improper grip because I don't feel it.
I bought a cz 82 from them and they didn't include the factory mag, gave me some shitty aftermarket garbage that didn't work.

>CCing one
wtf ?
carry a 30yo gun for your personal defense ?
>>32883374
Was my first pistol (though not from classic), also my first CC piece. I like it and will probably never sell it if only for the fact that I can abuse the fuck out of it/leave it wherever and not care about it at all and it'll still fire like day one when I need it to. Since I've gotten a Glock 43, it's become my truck gun. When I carried, I just used a basic Bianchi leather holster which worked fine for my needs, however given its low cost and how common it is I'm sure there are other options.

It's a $300 gun that is relatively slim and compact, fires an adequate (if dated) round, and has been proven to be unkillable mechanically in any normal life situation. Sure, there are better options, but it doesn't make the Makarov a bad choice.

I bought one of their Yugo Toks. Paid for best-of-10, got one with a crown chewed to shit. Meh. I'd still buy from them if the price is right, but I wouldn't pay extra for hand select.

That's too bad. I was seriously thinking of getting one of those Barettas for a project.
