I live in a bad area, majority of time it'll be 3-4 people who will jump you. At the end nobody wants to get shot even if it was a .22.

Realistically if that's where you live that's all you have to worry about.

15 is fine honestly anything more then 4 shots is fine.

I carry 2x mags on my belt, feels weird to only have one in the gun with no spares

I used to carry a Shield + a reload. Upped my carry gun to a Glock 19 and still carry a reload.
