.458 SOCOM and .450 Bushmastwe are an excellent choice for a modern brush gun. I prefer the .450 because you can shoot ACP through it, but the SOCOM is more effective.

Subsonic .300BLK is roughly equivalent to .45 ACP in both velocity and bullet weight. .458 SOCOM is significantly more powerful.
