The G36 apparently had problems with accuracy after extended firing due to the trunnion being mounted in the polymer cradle of the upper reciever. I think HK gave the excuse of needing to meet weight contraint requirements. The 433 has the barrel mounted to the aluminum reviever, so it won't suffer from the same problem. Because the basic layout of a regular rifle has been more or less decided since the 1940's. Bullpups are starting to look more similar too, since some thins just work and some just don't.

Long stroke, short stroke, folding stock or buffer, some other minor cosmetic differences, but the overall layout is still very similar to the Stg 44 and with what the rifle is expected to do and the weight range it's expected to fall in, I'm not really sure where they are supposed to go design wise.
