France had time to prepare and respond.
Instead of honoring their treaties, they sat behind their terrible defenses and waited to be conquered.

The French were one of the mightiest military powers in the world, who did nothing to help their allies while Germany invaded them, and rolled over immediately upon being attacked.
They were cowards who allowed Germany to start WW2 in the first place.
They had a million chances to stop Hitler before war even became possible, but they were too cowardly to do so.
They are disgraceful cowards whose cowardice indirectly caused the most devastating war in history.
