Zero your irons for 100 yards and move the setting from 1-4 depending on what you're aiming at. At the absolutely most you should only try to reach out to 400 yards with 7.62x39, ideally 200-300 yards as that's what it was designed for, it was never ever intended for long range.

If you want to be anal sure, but the difference between meters and yards in negligible honestly, 110 yards = 100 meters, 437 yards = 400 metes (max range you'll use an AK)

It's not actually supposed to be used past a few hundred yards under even very extreme circumstances.
The AK family are basically designed as sub guns that fire controllably in full-auto and inflicts the same damage as an actual rifle round.
The Soviets instead issued DMRs at the squad level and intended that any troops operating in an open area where they might have to engage enemy troops at more than about 100 meters would also have a vehicle with some real firepower for every squad.
Hence the Soviets getting into AFVs before the West, and optics not being issued until very recently.

The difference between yards and meters isn't enough to really matter unless you are going for inches. I'm guessing you are shooting out of an AK, so I'm assuming hitting a man sized target is

If an AK has excessive recoil, there is a good chance something is wrong with that AK... Possibly gas port drilled too large.
