You don't need to clean revolvers, anon
Though it is odd how the stainless turns jet black after a few thousand rounds.
>>32843185
>needing all that shit to properly clean a gun
lel, get a Glock.

>Cleaning your guns
I'm roughly ~6000 rounds into this SKS. Its starting to look like this through the handguard.

what, like a blur? Stop having Michael J Fox take your pics.
>>32844207
Shitty cell phone camera and bad lighting. Too lazy to get an actual camera and upload pictures.
>>32844220
I kinda want to see more
>>32844187

>Segmented rods
Cleaning supplies:
Baby wipes
Paper towel
Qtips
Bore rod
Lube with CLP after done
20-30 minutes later an AR15 clean enough for a disgruntled armorer to accept as clean.

>Lube with CLP after done
Why do people use this shit for lubricant?
>>32847035
I bought a big bottle because the military memed it into my head over the years before I really /k/'ed. After it's gone I'm going to use transmission fluid. I heard it's one of the best and cheapest option for lube. And hoppes 9 for cleaning.

Don't use ATF. Use lithium soap grease and light machine oil (like you'll put into air compressors and things like that) and be done with it. ATF has friction modifiers in it like gear oil for certain limited slip systems do.
Am i the only one that cleans their funs after every trip?
Do you fags not like cleaning your raifus?
Yeah I throw it into the washing machine every few months
>>32847320
Do you change your oil everytime you drive your car? Do you not enjoy changing oil?
>>32843185
>Gunsithing tools?
>Cleaning equipment?
I don't know what you are talking about. I bought an AR-15 because they are self cleaning.
>>32847363
You must not shoot milsurp.
>>32847320
Depends on a couple of factors:
>Did I shoot corrosive surplus?
>Did I shoot black powder?
>Do I feel like taking apart the gun?
>Am I not going to shoot this gun again anytime soon?
If the answer to any of those questions is yes, I clean the gun after shooting. Otherwise I may put off cleaning for a few range trips.
At school right now, but my office is also my gun room it consists of a bunch of stuff I've collected over time
All of this is spread between my closet and my workbench/toolbox i built
>lee reloading kit with all the fucking scales and tools and shit
>all sorts of assorted tools from working on so much shit
>10-15 different bottles of lube
I work at a gun store with a range and people just leave that shit on the fucking bench when they go home
>bench vise
>2 gun vises (again shit people left behind and never came back for)
>mini belt sander-knife sharpener thing
>scope mounting kit
>a star wars box that has every single specialty AR tool you could think of in it
>drill press I inherited from my grandfather
>a billion different little cleaning kits, tool kits, and fucking spare parts for different shit i've collected over the years
>an extensive car detailing kit with all the fuckin tits microfiber cloths I could steal from my shitty dealership job before I left
Next on the list in no particular order
>belt sander
>band saw
>lathe
>machinists vise
>need to build a new workbench to put all this shit on because mine's pretty tiny at this point.
Then itll be time to open Bubba McCletus's House of Gunsmithing

I just use a toothbrush, paper towels, ballistol, and a steel rod, never failed me.
