Anybody ever mess with this shit before?
I'm guessing it's garbage sense it never gets brought up, how badly did I just waste $8?

>how badly did I just waste $8?
Pretty bad. Get a fiber optic front and learn to shoot with a handheld light you fuckboy
>>32825641
damnit, wanted to do the front site on like 10 pistols..

quit being a simp

Just go to your nearest nuclear waste dump to get your own irridiated paint out of them barrels, it's what I've been painting my gun sights with for the past 30 years. It's free, effective and fun, I highly recommend it. Now I'm gonna jerk off my two-headed peener, hyuk hyuk hyuk
>>32825641
You misspelled tritium.
>>32825641
real operators use paint
>>32825641
This won't work either. In order for the fiber optic to work (glow), it requires light shining on it in some form. In a dark room where your only source of light is a weapon mounted light, all of your light is pointed away from the fiber optic and it doesn't glow.
I have a fiber optic front sight on my shotgun. It works great in the day, but at night using only the weapon light it acts as a metal bead sight (no glowing).
This is why ACOGs are dual illuminated and use both fiber optics (day) and tritium vials (night)
>>32826110
It works with neck index.

>Let me just make a target out of my head real quick
>>32825741
I'm going to try it anyway, I'll let you know how many hours of use I get before they lose all illumination or scrape/chip off from shooting/cleaning.
>>32826237
I'd rather have two hands on the firearm and a combo of a weapons light and tritium sight.
>>32826237
>be a robber
>rifling through shit at night in some idiot's house
>suddenly hear a noise from down the hallway
>see a light reflecting off the wall
>the light turns a corner and comes down the hallway at me
>dump a mag right at the light source
>continue robbing the place
>>32825614
Works fine. Make sure you put clear coat over it once it dries.
>>32828224
Truly? Do you have an estimation of the glow life after applied?

Sure, whatever.

So what's the best option?
>Hold on, Jamal, allow me to don my night vision goggles
>>32828698

>>32828698
they'll be the ones making noise, so sneak up on them. do you really not know your own house at night better than some asshole intruder?
if you really have a boner for flashlights then hold one as far above your head as possible. I knew a guy who directed OPFOR killhouse scenarios for law enforcement and he people would always fall for that trick.
Stops glowing after about ten seconds.
>>32828559
Hell for $8 that sounds find by me, I jut did the front dot on these 4.
>>32828559
wait... f'real?
>>32825614
Better than not having it if you want low light/night sights.
My CZ75 came with phosphorescent dots and it's certainly better than regular white paint. Still has nothing on tritium though.
>>32829106
Seems to be the case, I'll report if I have similar acceptable experience over the next few days
>>32829419
What is the best way to apply it on the sight? Brush?
>>32829419
Please do, I may follow suit if you get good results.
>>32829106
Yeah, almost 5 now, in my case.
It's not super bright, but once you hit it with a light real quick, it glows for a while.
Not as fancy as $150 sights, but does the job.

Toothpick
>>32829442
It came with a shaped wooden stick that worked well.
>>32829531
The final step in the instructions is to "charge paint with light" so that and the 4th coat of paint drying are our current steps. Looking at them right now...as long as the paint doesn't shoot its self off this already seems like a good idea....
>>32829590
did you use the same brand as OP?
>>32829634
Yes
>>32825811
underrated post/10
>>32829531
So I did as >>32829590 said and blasted the front post for 2 seconds with my micro stream and....wow
>>32826110
He said a handheld light, not a weapon light. Retard.

here's a comparison with my HK P30L LEM with factory night sights HK Left, phosphorous paint right.
bc of this thread, im going to get some and give it a go. i have been using white nail polish, but this seems nicer/ more useful

tritium sales men hate him
>find out why after these 17 advertisements
Strongly considering bubbaing up my rear sights by blocking them out.
>>32828698
Best option is ignoring the no guns and learn how to integrate either a weapon mounted light or a handheld light correctly.
my tritium is almost 2 years old, (since I got it, dunno how long it will last)
I may just use this paint when it dies
>>32830529
Just remember you gotta flash them with decent lumen light to get that ultra glow, so "tactically" it's not ideal.
>>32825614
I bought some once, painted it on my dick and wiggled it in front of the bathroom mirror.
>>32828698
turn your fucking lights on and stop trying to be ding chavez. christ why do people have to overcomplicate this?

not all of them do.

Hey OP.
I bought the paint for this a few years ago. And its awesome. Its no tritium though.
But for 8 bucks its 100x better than standard white painted dots. So if you want extremely functional night sights for home defense situations you need tritium because of its functionality.
Anyway this stuff is still cool. And i would put it on every gun with non tritium sights you have.
The glow formula glow on uses is VERY bright. I bought a bunch of different glow paints for a project and its not even comparable how bright this stuff is compared to say , united nuclear glow paint.
The only downside to this is that you need light to charge it. But once its charged, its as bright or brighter than tritium
If you are a DIY person , you can hook up UV lights up to your quicksafe and have it ready to go for home defense.
But for 8 dollars I would say its a good investment.
Yeah sure OP, you can't really go wrong with using that.
But just know that its certainly not tritium though.
It's only 8 bucks and you can just wipe it off with an alcohol soaked rag if you change your mind.
>>32825731
>front site
you have bigger issues
>>32831235
Why is that? you think I should paint all 3? I disagree but I'd like to hear your position.
>>32831235

When I shoot plates I ten to be front-site-focused with both eyes open, don't see the benefit of two more glowing dots at close range
