DO NOT get the kahr p380. Don't do it.

I own one, love it. But it's just overpriced. It's like a horrible wife I don't want to divorce because it'd be to messy.
>>
>>32823428
The P290s are hammer fired and fairly large for pocket carry. Also the 380 is the same size as the 9mm you might as well just get that.
>>
>>32823519
Thanks. So what do you recommend?

I dont know if its the best, but i love my keltec p32. There 250 new so there cheap. The quality is pretty great for the price, never had any problems with mine. It is also a true pocket pistol.
>>
Take a look at the ruger LC9s pro
>>
>>32823428
Get a derringer, if you like to live dangerously.

Sig Sauer p938?
>>

The LCP gen 2 (not to be confused with the LCP 2) is great. I love mine, however, I have no experience with the LCP 2. Maybe it's better?

I also have a P380. It broke in 2 different places under 1k rounds. One of those failures was the striker broke in half. It's a well known problem in the Kahr community that Kahr will not address. Also it was never reliable enough to carry, and I wasted a lot of money on ammo in a futile attempt to break it in. Another well known problem. Unacceptable for a "carry" gun. Forget the P380. Strangely my Kahr PM9 has been great.

Get the LCP. It's cheap, reliable, practical, and made by a good company.

Looks great! thanks
>>
>>32823567
Well I guess you can get a .357 derringer in a frame that fits even the most skinny jeans, but it'll still be two shot.

That's great, then you can buy one for every pocket?
>>
>>32823774
Keltec anon here. Do not forget to look at the p3at, thats what the lcp was inspired by. We know for a fact they stop dindus, ask trayvon martin's mom.
>>
>>32823428
You don't want a tiny handgun for your first gun. The recoil will be increased by the light weight and you won't be able to shoot it worth a damn.
Get a Glock 19 or Sig P320 Compact. They're small and light enough to CCW but big enough that they handle like a full-size pistol.

>>32823428
Im eyeing the kahr pm9 rn

Stupidly small, and can handle +p loads
>>
>>32823538
What kind of ammo do you run? I just picked mine up and put about 200 rounds of fiochi but it was kinda pissed, kept failing to eject. Hoping if i try something different itll be more reliable.
>>
>>32823428
Rent and try a few.

They are highly dependent on your hand shape and size.

And I wouldn't start with a subcompact anyway. Buy a compact or a full frame instead, learn the basics and get used to shooting. Then, you'll able to know what you like and don't like in a gun.

>>32824493
Im sorry to hear about your p32. I have run fiochi, winchester, remington and federal with no issue.
What brand are you running friend? I want to help anyway i can. Mine took about 300 rounds to break in.
>>
>>32823428

I love my glock 42, but it's big if I wear skinny jeans
>>
>>32824422
those guns are no where near as comfortable and convenient to carry as a small single stack gun is.
>>
>>32824608
An all lead bullet after leaving 1.2" of rifling is going to be tumbling like crazy and moving slow as hell. Apparently that made the round smack into the paper and rip it sideways instead of just cruising through leading a nice neat hole.
Still better than carrying a rock I guess.

P238, Walther PPK, or P938 if you want DA/SA
M&P Shield (garbage) or Glock 26 (worse garbage) if you want a striker fired
HK P2000SK, P30SK, CZ 2075 Rami BD (heavier) if you want double stack DA/SA.

Endless possibilities if you want a striker fired double stack.
>>
>>32825830
Sorry, P238 and 938 are single action, PPK is DA/SA though.

LCP is best pocket gun.

If you want to spend more for a slightly smaller gun get a seecamp. Anything bigger than an LCP is not a pocket gun, anything smaller is going to be too small unless you have babby hands.

Lets all be honest and admit the Walther PPK is the standard by which all pocket pistols are judged.

The Bersa Thunder Plus is a double stack knockoff of the PPK with 15+1 capacity, simply the best pocket pistol
>>

>pocket pistol
Nope
>>
>>32825274
Like i said ive been running fiocchi, actually just put another 50 rounds though it with 3 failures to eject about 30 minutes ago. It kinda sucks, the gun is so tiny and cute that i want to love it but i just cant if its not going to work with me. I suppose ill order some different types of ammo and experiment before i toss it in the river.
>>
>>32828208
Try other brands, maybe there a legit issue send it to keltec they will sort it out. The best 32 for my p32 is s&b. Try that before the river toss.
>>
>>32827188
I carried a ppk for a long time. You don't really notice the weight. Basically any pocket pistol is going to be light enough that the difference doesn't matter. You are hiking mt fucking everest, there is no reason to sweat the ounces if it's what you are more comfortable with
>>
>>32823531
What are you looking for babies first CCW gun? If so just get a G43/Shield/PPS/CM9/LC9s.
