>post one hole, sub inch groups at 7 yards
>/k/ says it's too easy
>get told 8"-12" groups at 25 yards are the "gold standard" and "way more interesting"
>still haven't been able to shoot a group as shitty as 8" at 25, but will 3" do?
Shooting thread - I know it's winter but a few of you must have access to an indoor range

>Not cross country skiing to the shooting spot on BLM land
Also fuck the cold
Also sorry for being all pompous and full of myself, I'm just not sure how to get traction in a shooting thread anymore

I haven't shot any of my guns in over a year
I've almost entirely forgotten the cat piss smell of 5.45 surplus

The only thing left to do is shoot them one more time, at your own temple.

What kind of gun? Long guns and hand guns require different training.

Really really good for it being your second time, good for you for starting on something larger than a .22 too.

I love how firearm related OC and a thread about actually shooting is now a "blog"
I guess everyone is hibernating, I'll fuck off.
I've put around 500 rounds through this this week. I tore apart a metal .22 target I set out at about 100 paces out. Should I be reloading my 7.62?
Did a "shooting on the move" class.
I was told keep it in the 8 inch section of the target, but shooting while moving is hard as shit.
I did get pretty good at hitting a reduced c-zone target at 50 yards though, so not all bad.

fuckin sexy bro
Happy with this 15 yard group with my Glock 21.

pretty good OP. Hitting alphas at 25 can be tough. How long did it take you to shoot that group? You should consider bringing out a timer to log your split times.
In terms of "gold standard", it varies who you talk too but 8 inch groups at 25 is not that good. Whoever told you that is a retard.
In Bianchi cup people want to hit a 4 inch black circle at as much as 50 yards.
