Seriously, aliengear is shit. What is expensive about aliengear is when you buy it, find out it's shit then end up buying a high quality custom holster that you should have got the first time.

I'm having trouble why people cheap out on holsters. You wear them everyday for up to 12+ hours at a time, why not get quality? Then again, this is /k/ and the majority of people who carry here are most likely in the camp of "I don't NEED to carry everyday" so my point is irrelevant.

I respect your opinion, but I disagree. I usually pocket carry (previously had a bodyguard, then lcp custom, now the p938) as I find it comfy and convenient.

You won't like the price, but Kramer does exactly what you're looking for. It's a horsehide hook design with a kydex piece sewn on top in order to print as a wallet would. I use one daily with a J-Frame.

I'd check E-Bay periodically -- one of his nephews has a store which sells factory seconds on there.

And yeah I dig my DSG. The wing works very well for me in terms of concealment. With it I can comfortably hide a fullsize Glock under a medium t-shirt, which has been hard for me in the past. Next on the shopping list are an Atlas g-hook belt and a Raven Copia mag carrier.

Yes - one is a JRC AIWB-CDA II and the other is his newer Watson Special.

As for the mag carrier, you may want to give DSG's mag carrier a look as well, unless you absolutely need the Copia's functionality. IMO they hide better than the Raven's larger pancake types. I may actually have a spare DSG Glock carrier around somewhere.

Is this the OWB carrier you're talking about? My only OWB mag pouch right now is a Ready Tactical, which I find doesn't hold the mag close enough to my body to conceal well. Do you think the DSG would be better in that regard?

I also have a Ready Tactical. It's pretty much lost all tension on me. DESU it worked better when I was fatter, but now that I've lost the padding on my hips it sticks out.

The Dark Star OWB definitely holds it tighter to the body. He basically uses a fixed version of Raven's QMS system as belt loops as he's not a fan of kydex attachments. I'll get you a picture in a few.

For the price point, they're actually not that bad. Has a pretty decent warranty too. You can also swap out the shells for dif firearms, so that saves money right there if you got a few dif carry pieces.

What is a viable holster set up to use for easily drawing a handgun from either hand? I'm right handed but need to be able to draw with my left hand.

Preferably accessible while seated.

100% truth, I tried one and ended up giving it away. The retention is shit and if you try and tighten it up it creates a bulge against your body makes it extremely uncomfortable. Never had that issue with any other hybrid.

But after using hybrid and kydex for a while I've moved to a more minimalist holster - the Raven Vanguard 2. Fucking thing is awesome and I can carry a G19 appendix all day long.

That holster looks to be a (really shitty) AIWB holster, or at least it's trying to be w/ the RCS wing claw. No cant to it. Eh, it might work for behind the hip. I'd take JM Custom's version though -- more streamlined.

I'm assuming you've played with the holster position and cant some? My first thought would be a more extreme cant and a shift to ~9:00-8:30, as 7:00 is pretty close to small-of-back. I'd look for at least 15 degrees of cant, and possibly more towards 20.

Having said that, the P2000 is a fine appendix gun. Since you're skinny, you'll want to look for claw designs rather than those with a wedge. This >>32811033 holster is a good example of something that will probably work for you (e-mail him -- he's done P2000 versions of that before, though they're not listed on his streamlined site).
