Why should I get a 16" barrel AR carbine instead of a 20" barrel AR rifle? 55gr 5.56 out of a 20" barrel is god tier.
>>32807826
I prefer the 16" for HD. 20 is great for range toy.
>>32807826
arent you afraid that the 20 inch barrel will snag on things and bump into shit all the time while your manoovering?
>>32807826
I have a 20" barrel on my AR, it's pretty heavy and difficult to maneuver with.
I shoot long range so that's what I mounted, but unless you have a specific requirement, I'd stay with 16".

>Why should I get a 20" AR instead of a 26" AR in 22-250? 22-250 in a 26" is god tier.
>>32808007
Well 5.56 was meant for 20".
>>32807826
Go in between with an 18.5" mk12 style upper. The rifle length gas system with the shorter time in barrel after passing the gas block (-1.5") means a slightly softer shooting with basically no drawbacks.
>>32808869
No it wasn't.
>>32808869
So was your mom's vagina
>>32808869
Literally noone shoots 556
>>32811439
a mid-length gas system on 16" is similar.
carbine length is meant for short barrels
>>32807826
Because you almost certainly wont need that~150 fps but 4 inches of extra barrel can get in the way
>>32807826
because 16" barrels still maintain enough velocity to fragment 55 grain FMJ, so it literally doesn't fucking matter and 20 inch ARs add weight and length
>>32807826
I'LL TAKE FO NUMBA KRABBY PATTIES
TWO WIT CHEEZE
>>32807826
You should only worry about it if you are a manlet anon.
>>32807826
Why not try a Krabby Patty with Cheese?
>>32811439
What?
>>32811747
Not even 55gr, specifically M193.
>tfw no one makes a 20" 1:7 pencil barrel
because a 20 is low speed high drag
>>32813509
223 nigga
>>32815274
