All the places I do it at border my property or are extremely close and have been abandoned for many years. The oilfield plant has been closed since the 80's and the only use it gets now is when an employee of the company comes by to dump junk from other plants, which is around once every 3-6 months.

A few Years back we had the old West Bend Company factory, but it seems like WI has a boner for turning old factories/buildings into apartments. You could try the old pet hospital on 41 (where hwy 28 crosses) its pretty damn big but i heard there is hella mold so be mind full of that

I camped out in a hotel under construction in the ghettos of Memphis, Tennessee. Saw a few drug deals and niggers being niggers. Couple of workers but most were drunk. Infiltration was easy, leaving was easy. Scavenged some water and found an unopened loaf of bread. Slept on insulation for 2 hours then left after a quick walk around the compound. Nothing too fancy.

Im no expert in this area but just make sure the filters say they can handle mold, it should say on there somewhere. I honestly dont know how badly molded it is, just talking to one of the builders he said that the dry wall was put up but never insulated. Also i have no idea how secure it is to try and get in or if there is regular traffic to the area. IF you go post pics, it would be cool to see what it looks like in there.
Helpful hint: There is a parking area for the Horicon Marsh maybe a mile west of the hospital, and a small gravel parking area to the east of hwy 41 thats used by construction workers alot. If you parked in one of these spots and walked to the hospital it might be better than parking on their property and trying to hide your car/van/bike, plus if you would get stopped you could always use the "I was just checking out the marsh" excuse

Gonna keep an eye out once we get called back to work, we get near some old abandoned areas once in awhile and i could mark them better.

Yes someone would definitely call the cops. Do not walk around downtown with an sks. If you don't know of any cool abandoned sites or facilities, go on Google maps, and use satellite mode to find the bumb fuck middle of no where that's an hour drive from where you live.

Basically, go bug out in an abandoned industrial facility or the woods but make sure your bug out load is lightweight and milsurp, bonus points for slavshit.

It is what you make it. To do it best find something abandoned or unnaground. S.T.A.L.K.E.R. is not all that innawoods but if nothing else works than camping near a rusted out car or barn in the woods, do it.

Here is what you do:
>pick a challenge
>get a harmonica, (just learn as you go)
>carry as little as possible
>bring boolits for bloodsuckers + skinwalkers
>bring pistol and/or rifle
>eat only canned food, sausages, bread and such (remove the labels) or hunt small game
>make a hobo stove from a can
>start memorizing some old Russian songs and general phrases in Russian
>use a tarp as rain protection in camp (shelter halves or bivy works too)
>dress in slavshit, a must
>go to your nearest city
>rustbelt is best for this
>find the now defunct industrial district
>find a building that isn't in murdertown
>take up residence
>start moving from building to building and make sure the entire area is abandoned
>like if someone sees you they don't report you type of abandoned
>really get away from the world, challenge yourself to keep you phone on airplane and use it only as a camera (do challenge in one charge and document your adventure in the zone)
>squat around in the woods with vodka
>bonus points for gasmask or balaclava
>play the fuck out of that harmonica or guitar
>have fun, you are being a total retard for the hell of it and because some anonymous fucker on the internet is telling you it is a good idea, too. Don't take it too seriously, but if you want to go all out try to stay in an accent the whole time

Me personally I take my mate. He takes some pictures, we play guitar and shoot trees, we drink a bit, debate on ak's, chernobyl wildlife, vodka's effects on radiation, stare at the sky by fire (while squatting).

it's on a huge grounds but it's in the middle of town, so you'd probably have to park nearby at a grocery store (it's open 24 hours anyway) and sneak the rest of the way onto the grounds

PT 1

Ugh, welp I here is my no bullshit true story of what I believe to be a skinwalker or....at least something from long ago; something from when we still shat in the bushes and lived around a fire. If you don't believe me then fuck you. So my grand dad owns a cabin in East Texas, it's pretty woodsy, sand everywhere and even though it's fall and the trees have bountiful orange and red leafs; it's still hotter than the devil's taint So we drive to the cabin from Mesquite where I live, after about two hours of driving we pull off the highway and onto a farm road, it's a pretty dusty road, we bounce up and down the cabin of the truck; I look behind us to make sure our supplies don't go flying out, there isn't running water at the cabin so we bring 6 five gallon water jugs, and enough food to last us a little over a week.

Luckily the cabin has electricity and we keep a hot plate to cook with, I love going camping because I get to cook my favorite meal, green beans, new potatoes and hotlinks. There's also a walnut tree up front, I like to break out the grill we bring and smoke ham steaks and burgers on it. So the first few days go just fine nothing really weird happens, except when the barbed wire fence snapped and we had to replace the whole damn thing luckily we didn;t have cows at the time otherwise that would have been a huge pain in the ass. The cabin is located at the end of a farm road about 3 miles of dusty winding road from when we first turned in, we pass a couple of properties; one thing we noticed driving in was the high fences surrounding all the properties and burned out areas that gave you a clear line of sight for acres figured they were taking advantage of the no burn ban which was rare due to how dry it is out there.

So on the 5th day, I decide to hunt for squirrels and bring my grand dad's trusty .22; the cabin is in the middle of a hay field under a lonesome walnut tree, with about 40 yards to the tree line facing north then, about another 60 yards are so there is another tree to the northwest. The cabin itself is small, about the size of a master bedroom only with a kitchenette, cabinets, a twin bed, lazy boy, and a small table with an old tv/vcr and as many old school westerns as you'd ever want.

So I walk out in the early dawn, then I hear screeching, lots of screeching I walk into the woods and follow a cow trail that leads to down to the creek; I ease my way closer to the creek, I'm not able to see anything but I hear splashing a the pig squealing louder and louder. I ease down the hill through thick bush, trying to see what's going on, the commotion stops, and I hear brush start to kick up, and something starts coming my way. I only have a .22 bolt action so I turn back up the hill and hike back to the cabin.

I make it back to the cabin and talk about the ordeal with my grand dad over Whataburger and Tombstone; he mentioned that he saw my cousin on the way back, stopped and talked with him, said my cousin's son was acting strange and talking about hurting animals. Weird cousins aside I devise a plan to go out that night; see if I can kill the hog before he destroys to much or reproduces. That night I head to the same spot only this time i have my trusty 300.sav and 180 grains of fuck you. It's dark, about midnight when I head out.

The cabin is in sight, it's outdoor lights glowing in the pitch black abyyes.I'm finally at the door I jam the door shut and in the process I woke up my grand dad who was sleeping in the loft upstairs, " You scared the cows gonna getcha?" he laughed to himself. The whole night I stood up, rifle in hand, shotgun loaded and ready to go. I kept hearing noises that sounded like they were in the tree line.I picked up the spotlight we had, opened the door; I started to shine it in the tree line... then I saw it, glowing eyes, big yellow eyes...laughing at me, those eyes burned in my mind forever. i closed the door quickly and jamed it again.

the next couple nights went okay, I was shaken up, we packed up and headed home. On the drive back something jumped in front of us, almost crashed grand dad figured it was a deer.. I decided that too for my own sanity,To this day I always feel watched in the woods

Urbex stuff is prevalent but it is never really in the middle of nowhere, still spooky.

I'm not a yank so i wont have a go at you. I havent done one either, doesnt feel innawoods when you can hear cars in the distance and you have some farmer nearby.

yer fugged bud, you need to get at least a machete or a decent sized knife. a cross bow would be bretty good in lore, especially with a 75 lbs draw weight or some such. but you need a gun to survive more than just the mutants in the Zone, Bandits and rogue stalkers want your gear and food as much as you do. pic related would be a good innawoods loadout, as there is no real need for semi autos above .22, unless skinwalkers are a part of your RP.

I've found a hell of a site in ME. Perfect STALKER background, even a dubious history with military weapons testing, but terrible idea.
