Was thinking of getting a new handgun with my refundbux for javelina, and i'm currently leaning towards a Glawk 40.
Is 10mm just a meme, or should I go for a blackhawk in 45 colt instead.

That sight is fucking horrendous.
>>
Get the g40.
>>
If you're gonna shoot .45 LC, be a man and get a Blackhawk or Redhawk in .454 Casull. It's like buying a .38 Special revolver instead of a .357
>>
>>32803818

shooting 45 colt through a .454 or .460 just makes additional mess and adds extra distance between the chamber and forcing cone.
>>
Glock 20 frame is a downer for me. 1911 for 10mm
>>
>>32803975
why? 1911 chambered 10mm are very expensive and hold like half as many rounds
>>
i need this. dat barrel length
>>
>>32803088
Had a Glock 40.
Didn't like it. Thought 10mm would be more.

Gonna step up to a .40 super or 460 Rowland

Raging.

MAGNUM

If the gun is for hunting javelina, do you really need twice as many rounds? Wouldn't you rather have a sexy ass 1911 trigger?

As for op, I personally would get a Ruger Redhawk in 44 magnum, but from the ones you listed, get the blackhawk. As I said before, in a hunting gun, you don't need capacity or reload speed. What you need is a good trigger, accuracy, and power. While a 10mm certainly has power, it is less capable as a hunting gun.

While out looking at bricks another idea came to mind, what about a Glawk 24 with a kkm .357 sig barrel?
>>
>>32805370
don't those have a rep for going glock, or is that just their polyframe versions?
>>
I got a glog twundeenyn, does I count?
>>
>>32803088
For peccary both rounds should be more than sufficient

Do you shoot Glocks well? If you're very proficient with the platform then it's a good enough choice. For most people a revolver would be the better choice when it comes to hunting though, IMHO.

These little pigs are not very tough. A .357 mag is plenty, going full retard .44 mag or even .454 is uncalled for, unless you just really like to make giant holes in 70 lbs piggies. Of course if that's what you aim to do, then I respect that.

First, adjust your withholding so you don't get any tax refund.
>>
>>32805408
That was an early manufacturing defect in some of the lower class metal finishes. It's not an issue in modern production.

Some people with poor spending control use their tax refund as kind of a forced savings. If they had the money on their regular paycheck, they'd spend it.
>>
>>32805370
This, desu.
>>
>>32805202
if you didn't cheap out on ammo and bought some buffalo bore, yep, it would have been more.
>>
>>32810077
This. I had a glock 20 and thought it just wasn't as fun as people were talking about or as much as the rental the one time. Then, after trading it, I discovered that I was shooting FBI loads from Federal the whole time.

This, I blindloaded 7 rounds of Norma and 8 rounds of Privi in a mag and there is no mistaking one for the other.
