Don't get the AR gold, we don't want your filth in our exclusive club.

For that rifle I'd consider the new SSP from Geissele. That or the S3G is going in this lower. I think you'll do better with a single stage for your "precision bench gun" or whatever you're calling it.

I talked to the postmaster and got it redirected to the PO box associated with the address, said they would handle it personally after seeing how fucked it was.

There will be hell to pay if they fail a fourth time.

This is what I get for being a sperg and not just sending it to my house, but it really highlights how fucked usps is.

>and i want to be the only one who prefers single to double

>>32801065
Just mention it's a PO box and you should be good

The problem is that I tried to enter a PO address as a street one so the machine just said "lolno" and didn't put an address associated with the tracking label, it just said send it to [city]

Total lack of critical thinking on USPS part tho, you'll notice when you see the label I drew up in my god tier handwriting

>>
>>32801084
Single is better for bench. No play or bullshit, it just goes off, and at 4 lbs or less.

>>32801078
That's where the SSP is gonna be your best bet. Supposedly 4lb crisp break is gonna be super sweet for your precision dirt shooting, and is fast enough for rapid taps.

>>32801086
I still don't 100% know. 14.5 barrel with a SFMB for sure, but I'm not sure if I want a short quad rail or the slick upper, with or without a handstop or stubby tango down.

>>
>>32801133
I never got why there was much debate, they are both really good as long as it's not an ass trigger
>>
>>32801143
More familiar break in a two stage

Not that you can't get used to a single stage or anything but you would theoretically get more consistency for precision shooting out of a two stage

GC there is probably the same, if he ever actually shoots his guns.

All I care about is strength and the top rail being solid without gaps. And I'm really fond of this slick upper, so I keep coming back to that.

Considering how easy it is to zero and how important it is to be on target, pretty obvious the answer is yes. What's your zero ammo anyway? That's what I struggle with more than anything. Given my God-tier stockpile of 77gr OTM I've been zeroing everything that's 1:7 or 1:8 with that.

Appreciate the concern, thank God no cancer...that I know of.

As far as reloading, honestly couldn't tell you, I've done some reloading of heavier hunting calibers with some hunting buddies but have never dabbled with 5.56. If I had to guess you would probably be paying around 30c/rd for 77gr OTM bullets. Maybe less for lesser quality, probably more for super high grade.

Love 77gr OTM though man...supremely accurate stuff.

If you're wanting to shoot Matchkings, expect to pay between 35cpr and 40cpr to load it yourself. Even in large quantities (2500+ at a go) you'll be paying a quarter per bullet. 35-40 cents a bullet if you want a TMK.

There are other, nearly-as-good OTM bullets out there for less money. Nosler seems to market a lot of cosmetic blems, I picked up a ton of their 77gr Custom Comp blems one time for 10 cents a bullet.

Hornady 75gr traditional match are good too. DO NOT buy 75gr A-Max, you literally cannot load them to mag length, they're as long as a 90gr VLD.

>they're fucking liars

Every ammo review I've ever found on IMI 77gr shows 1.8-2 MOA with 5-shot groups from rifles normally capable of 0.75 MOA with Black Hills.

Also the razorcore bullet doesn't fragment reliably even at 2700fps, as multiple youtube videos have shown. About 1 in 5 will fail to yaw or fragment at all even at 20ft from a 20" barrel.

Prairie dogs.

I blow probably 15,000 rounds a year on P-dogs. Normally not an issue but I got a short-notice invite for next month, I normally only do it mid-spring through the start of deer archery season, so kinda got caught with my pants down on ammo supply.
>>
>>32803837
Why the fuck did they stop? I know they had to have sold them. The military need alone would be astronomical
>>
>>32804046

You shoot doggies and don't reload your own ammo?

Like I know you use a lot, but if you buy 2000 rounds, then reload it during an off week...I dunno.

Let me look around quick.

>>
>>32804064
I normally do reload, yes.

I'm out of my normal varmint bullets atm though, and my normal supplier has them on backorder so I may not be able to get them before the hunt.

If I can't find 40gr Varmageddon-tipped bullets for sale for a fair price that's actually in stock somewhere else I'll end up shooting factory ammo. I just asked because I know Giddy said he was getting it super cheap.
>>
>>32804030
Any suggestions on a good cost effective round for coyotes?
>>
>>32804076
The only thing Giddy knows is how to escape from Immigration and Border Patrol.
>>
>>32804076

I found this.

https://www.wideners.com/rifle/223-5.56-ammo#fiocchi-223-rem-50-grain-v-max-pt-1000-rounds

And this

https://www.wideners.com/rifle/223-5.56-ammo#federal-american-eagle-223-rem-50-grain-jhp-500-rounds

And this

https://www.wideners.com/rifle/223-5.56-ammo#black-hills-remanufactured-varmint-grenade-223-rem-36-grain-hp-50-rounds

May want to take a look around Wideners, they have more than a few loads that look like they are up your alley.
>>
>>32804079
If you don't care about pelt damage, M193. It will usually exit though, even from a 16" barrel. With most coyotes shot between 100-250m it should fragment reliably out of most non-SBR rifles. If you're consistently pushing the upper bounds of that, I'd probably buy some of the Fiocchi Vmax loads, or maybe give the AE 50gr JHP loads a try. Neither should exit, and are 38cpr shipped and 35cpr shipped, respectively.

I use 20gr XTP's in a .17 HMR most of the time. Lethal enough and never exits, and where I live all shots are gonna be inside 100m. Plus it's quiet, making it more likely to double on 'yotes.
>>
>>32804099
Appreciate the effort, but...
>41cpr shipped
>42cpr shipped
>36gr varmint grenades are inaccurate in my 1:8 barrel. Also, 75cpr shipped

Though I might check out their reloading supplies, kinda forgot about Wideners after dealing exclusively with Graf's and Powder Valley for years.
>>
>>32804119

Right. I mostly see them stocking military style bullets in .224.

From about mid-April through 1 September I'm generally shooting 3-4x a week either at the range or at animals. I really do the vast majority of my reloading from October to Christmas resupplying my varmint ammo stash.
>tfw during the summer I can get off work, eat dinner quickly, and go blow up prairie dogs for 3 hours before it gets dark
Not uncommon for me to take a weekend and blow through 3k rounds just at prairie dogs, basically shoot from half an hour after sunup to sundown.
I really wish P-dogs were more active in the spring tho, there's really only about a 3 hour window in the mid-afternoon they're active if it's below 70* out.

Mostly because it's cheap entertainment and I can literally do it out my front door.
>live in a trailer on an oil well complex

Occasionally I even get paid to do it if some rancher's particularly pissed at them.

It's also extremely good practice for practical/tactical shooting
>rapid ranging, often with reticle
>shooting from prone+bipod or improvised shooting positions (spotting scope tripod+backpack, tailgate, have even done urban prone when a colony I forgot about popped up as I was driving by)
>long range (I will shoot out to 600 yards with my AR or 750 with my .243 boltgat)

And it confuses/infuriates suburbanites that think I'm literally shooting dogs out onnaprairie
