It's an especially safe bet for the internet gun experts/gun writers because the Glock is a good product in actuality. It certainly was the best option on the market back in 1997. Is it still the best in 2017 though, when you take into account that Glocks as a design have had no real innovation? Doubtful.

It's not about "better" it's just hardware in an interchangeable role and is frankly a lot less important than we make it to be.

The thing for me is having it fit my long hands right in terms of trigger and controls and also natural grip angle. I would have 5 glocks if it wasn't for that grip angle, instead I have clones from Belgium, well VA actually.

Large difference is sort of relative to the intended effect and the actual effect which isn't always as consistent as a lot of statistics imply.
Diminishing returns may be more worth while for you when it comes to capacity, diminishing returns in potential wound characteristics seems a little more important to me. If I had to I'd hope I have the chance and thought to do something a little more calculated than spray and pray. Partly with being responsible for every bullet let loose the last thing I want to do is mag dump and pray something hits and works.
I don't have enough hunting experience to confirm some of my personal assumptions with terminal ballistics so I'm not going to argue about it, 9x19 and a large capacity just doesn't really fit for what I think would be the most effective for my personal side arm choice.

Well yeah all hollowpoints are going to act like hollowpoints, mostly just speed that effects their consistency somewhat. Those are very specifically engineered for a very specific and consistent effect. It might be effective enough. I just like alternatives a 9x19 with hollowpoints wouldn't be as great in general if I wanted to go fuck off hiking or something. I don't really care about shooting jello blocks. Picked up my gen1 p320 back in 2015 for my first gun. Happy the salesman steered me towards it as I had no clue about anything at the time.

Thousands of rounds through it at this point with never a single malfunction of any kind. Have a few different grips for it including with the new slidelock. Would like some better after market parts for some special snowflake custom options though.

Shot a couple glocks recently and the ergonomics felt like shit, was like holding a brick in my hand, and could not hit jack shit with it. My friend who is much better shot than me never missed with the thing. I understand why glocks are so popular but p320 is hands down a better gun out the box.

Im contemplating getting a xcarry version when it is released later this year or one of the 320s that come stock with the romeo redot.
