Of all those at least in Maryland you can cash and carry an AR-15 as long as it is an HBAR. You can also build one if you want.

though will say, living in Connecticut, we can still get almost all of the cool stuff. It just costs twice as much sometimes...
In NY, have an AR15 with a fixed mag.
It's effectiveness is neutered pretty badly at the moment but if I move, laws change, or shtf it's only a few minutes to change out the mag release and get it working properly.
Otherwise based on value I would get:
SKS
Ares SCR
Mini14/30
M1a
If money wasn't an issue, switch SKS and M1a
On a related question does peace full travel apply to 'high compacity' mags?
Ive got a drum mag for my wasr and am moving across a few states, figure i might have to go around a few states.

The new Stagarms rifle with the cqr stock let's ban states have ar15s, so that's promising.

Anon, Houston isn't in a shithole state so you appear to have something wrong.
>>32774573
The one with the ugly stock and weird magazine release? I'd rather have an SU-16, honestly, even with keltec reliability™

ARs and AK's are still legal in California you would just have to have them featureless, which means no flash hider/suppressor, no collapsible stock, and no pistol grip. What really doesn't make any fucking sense is of you do all of that you can remove your bullet button. AK's are the easiest to make featureless because most come with a muzzle break and fixed stock, all you need is a kydex wrap and you can remove that bullet button. My neighbor let's us use his land in South East California so it only takes a couple screws to take off that kydex wrap. High cap mags are still technically legal so a couple screws fall off your kydex wrap, you found a 30 round mag in the desert and bam, you have a full freedom AR or AK.
I work at a gun store and every customer that asks about registration I tell them to forget it. You get a felony for just letting someone touch a RAW, the risk-benefit isn't worth it to register especially because you know confiscation is coming
Fuck the ATF, just do what you want faggot.
>>32774059
you're wrong

Wages don't mean shit when the state government takes 40% of it like greedy pigs and the cost of fucking everything is abysmally high.
>>32771593

why anyone would want to live in those crowded smelly dirty hippie government-loving liberty-hating states is beyond me.
