Are they worth it? I need something to operate when it's cold and none of my other gloves are good for that, I can never get a good grip with them.

Most likely

Standard Mechanix gloves are too thin for cold weather, you need the insulated ones.
>>

Depends how cold?
>>
>>32741319
-10°C at most
>>
>>32741366
My experience at that degree for few hours(1-3) is pretty good, these are thin(but surprisingly warm) so if you grab metal or such your hands get cold faster, if you are looking for long term you should try insulated, but i havent tried those myself.
>>
>>32741249
Just get the home depot brand gloves for $9
>>
>>32741249
They offer almost no insulation
I have a couple of pairs to use in warmer weather but in winter I use sealskinz
>>
>>32741366
Why not Fahrenheit you mall ninja?
>>
They're like $10 just get some
>>
>>32741249
Oh God don't buy Mechanix gloves for that reason. They are made for keeping crap off your hands not for keeping the biting cold out. Even the 'insulated' gloves are complete shit. They are good for 10 minutes TOPS before you start actually feeling the cold.

Those are good for normal use, but not cold weather or wet work

Git and stay git

Because it's a shitty scale with an unintuitive defining point not fit for everyday use.
>>
>>32742145
>wet work
this isn't The Red Circle, John
>>
>>32742277
Well it's shit for science but it's great for everyday use.

>100 is hot af
>0 is cold af

Who cares what temperature water freezes or boils at?
>>
Outdoor research alibi 2 or some thin leather work gloves that fit your hand
>>
>>32741249
I've had plenty of experience with current U.S. military gloves, and the mechanix I bought are the most comfortable by far. The palm/fingers with no seams work great, and the finger pockets fit nicely. Con: not flame resistant. try not to set your hands on fire.
