Giddy, i have that hoppe aluminum rod they are very weak and bend/break easily. Very light tho. The threading is different from traditional cleaning rod thread on all segment execpt one end where it accept tips.

Very weak. Wouldn't recommend.

I recommend brass segment or short one pc coated steel rod.

Yeah currently my favorite rod is one pc nylon coated steel rod with steel adapters at end sold at walmart. I rounded all sharp edge off the steel adapter at both end and dulled the knurling with hobby file then locited it to the rod because it alway want to unscrew and fall off.

I'd say doing the gas block on a URX4 is more meticulous work than difficult. Just have to be patient. If you dimple the barrel or pin the block it almost becomes easy since there's only one way to get the block on, and when it's in place it's perfectly aligned.
