What do you guys carry/transport your rifles in?
I'm looking for a bag or case, any suggestions?
So far, I've been looking at the 5.11 shock rifle Case, Plano gun guard, and the midway heavy duty double rifle case.

A soft case. $10
A plastic hard case $20
If you're shipping or flying with it on the regular then some sort of high dollar pelican case or the like.

On the passenger seat or on my back.

Well, I would just pick up one of those cheap bulldog bags but being able to just have all my shooting gear, mags, and etc in one bag sounds pretty nice. Being able to wear it like a backpack also sounds pretty nice.

it sounds nice until you actually have to lug it around, small backpack that will let you carry your accessories and ammo and then a appropriately sized rifle bag.
I got one of these for $19.99 and it's been awesome. I can keep a cleaning kit and stock wrench in it and a multiple fully loaded mags. Comfy to use.

Pelican Case.
If you're going to pay four figures for a nice rifle, why wouldn't you pay for a halfway decent case?

I got a goodish deal on this as an amazon employee, would definitely recommend. Lots of spaces for mags and cleaning stuff

If you have a really pretty rifle, I agree with that. Otherwise a four figure rifle shouldn't get damaged by being dropped in a case with half inch foam on either side. If you have a nice optic, get a padded scope cover as well.

what is a sling, and chest rig?

a hard case for things with wood and delicate stuff I care about. my AR bounces around naked like a dead hooker in my trunk,
>>32735453
dont bother $20 hardcases are fucking shit. the worst part is the hinges and buckles keeping em shut.
dont buy a hard case at all unless you need it for traveling on a plane or something and if you do need one buy something quality. cheap hardcases are horrible at everything and a bitch to move around.
cheap soft cases are decent enough things for short term use like house to car to range and back. if you do move em around alot cheap ones fall apart but for light use cheap soft cases like >>32735414 or similar are fine.
if you are going to be a cheap fuck buy a softcase dont even attempt to go hard.
>>32735549
ok, guess I won't cheap out on the hard case then. Already got soft cases for rifle and guitar.
take down cases for AR?
I know Larue makes one and even arfcom has a store up for a solid bag as well.

Op heres what i have. One of the is a Voodoo Tactical and the other i cnt remember, Spectre or some shit.
First real carrying cases i ever bought so i didnt know for sure what i was getting into or which ones were any good.
These ones are ok for a filthy casual like me. They were around $100 each i think.
They are both Double rifle cases but i can stuff at least 3 rifles and/or Shotguns in each one.
The shorter one is mainly for my ARs because its more compact, easy to move around, the ARs fit perfect lengthwise with the stock collapsed.
The longer case is for my 20" barrel rifles / shotguns.
The molle ladders on the outside are cool because i can add or remove different pouches as desired. External pouches are nice for mags and other shit.
Word of warning, stuffing a double rifle bag full of two rifles and their mags/ accessories gets heavy and cumbersome enough to be a pain in the ass if you want to move quick and agile.
Otherwise they are fine for just lugging back and forth from home to vehicle to range and back.
If i was to actually want to "carry" it any distance on my back like inna woods or something i would stick to a single gun case.
I have a 36 inch plano case. I love it. 5 latches, 2 are key locked, 2 padlock places, holds my AR, 10 mags, and a scope (not pictured). It's waterproof and airtight with a pressure regulator. I've taken it kayaking and dropped it into the river for an hour during lunch and it came up bone dry. Little expensive at 60 bucks, but it's pretty great. A 16.5 inch rifle with a shoulder thing that goes up is the biggest that'll fit

Sounds pretty decent for $60
I'd like to find some really minimalist single rifle case for carrying an AR.
only needs to have room for 1-3 mags.
With other mags, shit carried in a separate pouch or back pack.
Condor case on amazon bretty good
>i've been trying to find a good pelican, for a disassembled AR. 16 barrel upper is 23 1/2" so figuring It goes in the case diagonally you are looking at any case with an interior width*depth of ~20"*~10".
Basically either the 1600, or 1605 pelican's should work

I have a pair of pelican cases. Buddy does rc-airplane stuff, has a hot wire setup that I used to cut the foam.
Thing's bombproof.
Aim drag bag. Quite pricey but all my rifles are heavy and the ruck sack straps make things easier.
This one is fucking awesome
