Would the Liberator pistol have worked against the Germans in World War 2 if the British actually air dropped it? And if so, would a similar concept work against groups like ISIS today?

>Giving the Germans free guns.
No it wouldn't.
>>
>>32722642

People weren't lacking weapons in Europe, anon.

People aren't lacking in weapons in Syria and Iraq either, anon. Pretty much every home has an AKM in Iraq.
>>

>>32722759

Okay, but why would it not work?
>>
>>32722915
The whole theory behind the liberator is that by "arming" small groups, they could pick off elements of a larger, stagnant militarized group and get real weapons.

It doesn't work to give incredibly shitty Liberator-type weapons when small, mobile groups of terrorists are the real problem.

So, the second amendment wouldn't work against tyranny if insurgencies were the source of tyranny?
>>
>dropping actual guns

Nah

Better have just dropped plans

Zipguns are great for occupations

And for the Nazis, the idea that a gun could be anywhere was worth more than a dozen zipguns
>>
>>32723188

Who am I shitting, this wouldn't work in the Middle East because the people are docile push overs there. In Europe it would have been angry euro footballers killing Nazis.
>>
>>32723143
The second amendment protects your right to bear arms against the imposition of the States or federal government. What are you talking about?
>>
>>32723237
"A well regulated Militia, being necessary to the security of a free State, the right of the people to keep and bear Arms, shall not be infringed."

It's for fighting anyone in general that imposes tyranny, and not just the government. This could include insurgencies, gangs, rapid dogs, and Texans.
>>
>>32723237
But what I am really getting at is that the if people had guns they would fight ISIS, but they can't because they don't. Now people are saying that freely armed societies don't fight tyrants and that is like saying that 2nd amendment doesn't work against tyranny.

If the idea of armed people( the 2nd amendment duh)fighting tyranny doesn't work in the Middle East, it won't work in the United States for all the same reasons.

There also has been huge amounts of resistance to ISIS, which implies that they are not liked at all.
>>
>>32722642
The British just "didn't drop it". The Germans would massacre tons of random people every time one of their soldiers would be killed by some armed partisan in a controlled territory. These partisan-assisting operations lost alot of steam simply because too many innocent people would die as a result. Plus, there are only so many people willing/capable of fighting when the odds are stacked against them. Why arm that minority with the absolute bottom of the barrel?

A similar concept (cheap, crappy weapon that can arm tons of people) already exists, it's called the Kalashnikov and every sandnigger with a grudge against ISIS is welcome to use it on them.

If the fully automatic weapons that various resistance groups didn't work, why would a single shot pistol work?
>>
>>32722915
ISIS isnt even just one big faction LOL its basically become an ideal at this point.
some edgy sandnigger kids see anti-western propaganda and call themselves an ISIS cell, then other groups of edgy sandnigger kids who also call themselves ISIS compose themselves into larger groups who are then headed by a honcho who might be somewhat experienced in combat. from there the edgy sandnigger kids are sent out to die/rape/kill all in the name of "a better islam!" thats why social media outlets actually work in recruitment because its all edgy kids who want to join anyways.
>>
>>32723961
You really think that people aren't fighting ISIS because they don't have access to guns?
You need to do some serious research on the conflicts in the middle east
>>
>>32722915

The liberator, fires a single shot at extremely close range. So if you can walk up to an already jittery enemy soldier or officer, pull out the weapon, fire it from a foot away while incidentally alerting every other enemy soldier in the area, grab that enemy's rifle or pistol and hightail it out of there without being spotted.... then you are good. And people did it at times, successfully. The thing about having about a consequently 100 of your fellow civilians executed in retaliation was kind of awkward though. Hope the k98 was worth it.

But there is a very similar weapon though. It's called a knife, and it is being used in the same manner today in Israel and the territory they hold. So you get all these newsstories about Palestinians walking up to Israeli soldiers trying to stab them. At which the soldier's buddy promptly shoot down and kill the knife hero. Same as the German did actually, because unlike in the movies they didn't wander around solo while on guard duty.
>>
>>32722642
No because resistance groups were petty little shits that got their fellow civilians killed with very little actual gains besides occasionally stabbing eachother in the back.

>Drop liberator into civilian's back yard
>Civilian doesn't notice
>ISIS patrol does
>Civilian's entire extended family forced to give confession and executed by tank on live TV

Good job, liberator.

>people in Europe weren't lacking weapons
>"at the start of the Warsaw Uprising, an estimated 1 in 4 partisans had a firearm"
>>
>>32723188
What night have work better is to drop zipgun plans along with ammo that the occupying force doesn't use, and making the design easily adaptable to different ammunition types
>>
>>32725322
He's talking about in the context of the Liberator pistol, not in terms of general combat. The addition of the Liberator pistol to the Warsaw Uprising would've had a negligible effect.

The Liberator pistol would only really be useful in a situation where people are simply too poor to afford either weapons or the materials to build weapons. In a situation like Europe, it would've probably been better to simply airdrop the equivalent $30 per gun worth in ammunition and barrels to people instead.
>>
>>32725421

What works is making IEDs and place them along patrol routes. Each successful boom might give you state of the art weapons, supplies and potentially prisoners with or without wounds to exchange for money or other stuff you can trade for more weapons. Fuck primitive firearms when you can buy brand new ones.
>>
>>32723210
I think you're mixing up your time scale unless there were soccer hooligans back that far in the past.
>>
>>32724353
To a person like Merkel, that would be tyranny.
>>
>>32722642
Fuck no, giving away weapons like this is how groups like ISIS were created originally anon.

Just ask the CIA how well it worked out for them.
>>
>>32722642
No. Because for a liberator dropped that potentially kills a kraut. A bomb could have been dropped that would definitely do some damage.
