Lets compare our dicks /k/, post the rarest milsurp in your collection and talk shit about other people's raifus.

Posted this on here a few times,
My raifu is an original 1895 South African Republic Mauser captured by a canadian trooper during the boer war and brought back as a trophy.
Metal's mint, stocks been through hell.
>>32715081
A British No. 1 Mk. III rebarreled with RFI stamps, but they rebarreled it to .303 again. Not rare, but neat nonetheless.
>>32715119
RFI?
>>32715081
Not the rarest around, but it's up there.
>>32715167
You going to shoot it?
My grandpa's 1905 Swedish Mauser build. He died before he could finish it so I'm going to finish it for him.
>>32715167
>>32715403
neat!
>>32715403
My m96 is 1905 dated too, theyre great funs
>>32715242
Already have. It's great. Well worth the money.
Coincidentally took a pic of probably my most uncommon milsurp. Don't really have anything rare. It was finally nice enough out and I finally had time off of work to shoot, and when you reside on a couple acres you make due for a shooting range.
>>32715528
cool sks
My Italian bodeo revolver made in 1896.
Currently sitting on 332 rounds of 10.4 Italian ammo to go along with it.
>>32715167
>tfw a gun store here in Ontario had one for sale for less than $500 and I didn't jump on the chance to buy it
>>32715143
Rifle Factory Ishapore. Normally the Indians would rebarrel or make new .308 ones. This one was rebarreled .303. An uncommon procedure.
Rarest thing I have is pretty humble. I picked up a FR8 back in 2012, still a neat rifle. Pic related, don't have a pic on me.

Pic from the auction
Judging by the gas piston I'm pretty sure I was the first person to shoot it outside of the factory

Delicious proof marks
I have a Mauser-brand Mauser Gewehr 1898 from 1914. It is the highest-know serial number from that year. It is almost all-matching; only the cleaning rod is not. This is probably my rarest milsurp by existing examples.
I have a post-WW1 Czech-made copy of the Gew.98 that is only one of 10,000 made but they are not as popular with collectors.
My svt 40, c96 or p38
Not sure
I got me a 1937 Guatemalan contract VZ-24 in 7mm. Only 4000 were ever produced out of the 5000 ordered.
1934 dated, very low serial number

>Actually we have this old german one that no one will buy, hold on I'll go get it out the back
It was a Mitchell's Mauser, but shit, I walked out of the store with it for $150.
Can you guys give me a fair price for an SKS and ST?

I just came here to say I fucking hate that guy.
>>32721433
Who?
Do optics count? Because I have one of these YMA Chink military optics, one of maybe a dozen ever exported. Sold the rifle, kept the optic.
My rarest is my 1965 Bundeswehr issue P1 that I chopped up and cerakoted. I don't have a lot of milsurps either though.

What
Probably my Nagoya Type 99 long rifle.
>>32721919
Literally the 641st Type 99 made by Nagoya arsenal.
>>32721919
I thought only last ditch models had the upper front handguard removed?
>>32721995
As I said, long rifle, not short rifle. Here is a "last ditch" short rifle. The first 8,000 Type 99 rifles by Nagoya and 30,000 rifles by Toyo Kogyo were with 80cm barrel (30 inches) instead of 65cm barrels (26 inches).
>>32722071
The long rifles would also originally have a monopod and dust cover, like early Type 99 short rifles (pic related), but they're extremely rare to find them with their original parts still intact.
>>32722101
Japanese soldier with a Type 99 long rifle.
I don't have much rare stuff, but I guess my Garand is the rarest. It's a Mk 2 Mod 0.
>>32722071
>>32722101
Ah I was unaware of this info. Thanks for letting me know. I have a toyo kogyo type 99 with mono, dustcover and airsights all matching. Will getting a bayonet for my Arisaka make the value rise since the bayonets weren't matched to the gun? Is there certain bayonet manufacturers that didn't pair with certain Arisaka manufacturers?
>>32722234
While adding a bayonet does add value, but only because a bayonet itself has value too. And bayonets were mostly interchangeable. Some are too tight and may not fit at all and some are too loose. Soldiers would just pick the ones that work well for their rifle.
I guess this qualifies as my rarest, It's a hodge-podge of parts... But I've always wanted one and only paid $600 Canadiabucks.
The only milsurp I currently have is my M1 (all 1954-1956 dated HRA parts), a Springfield that my great grandfather sporterized, and an StG-58 kit I had built (not sure if kit builds really count as milsurp). I don't know which of those is "rarest" as they're all pretty common
The rarest I've had in the past though is probably my Finnish M24 with original finish and original Russian stock with the rare Christmas tree mark on the barrel shank or my post war B barrel Finnish M91 (only about 5000 made), both of which I sold along with all the rest of my milsurp.
One of the first Garands ever built.
m39
not issued soviet sks
jungle carbine ('46, post war)
>>32715081
Rarest is a 1916 Swedish Mauser. The bore is dirty as all hell, but in good shape.
>>32722592
Gas Trap? Post whole gun.
took this pic last night
>>32721819
He said his Luger, manufactured four years before its replacement, has a very low serial number.
>>32715081
guns are at my dads house since he likes them but ill still gloat. anyways heres a stock pic
two Steyr M1886 Kropatschek's, one 'long' and the other a carbine with all parts matching. both have bayonets.. apparently only 5000 carbines made and since all parts are matching, its supposed to be valuable. my dad thinks its worth nearly 11k but i wouldnt be so sure lol.
Burger svt coming through
>1941 izhevsk
1917 45acp Brazilian police revolver. So far as I can tell these were either part of a production run after WWI or a sell off of them that were part of the initial order and not actually inventoried by the Army. Still pretty cool
>>32723214
Just a bare receiver atm
>for Americans
Pic related is the rarest milsurp if I lived in the USA that is.
Overall I have no rare milsurps for a gun owner in Switzerland.
>>32723245

>>32725760
How does it shoot?
>>32715081
Bubba with a hacksaw beat me to it and hacked off the forward stock and 9" of barrel, but $250 from Cabela's ain't too bad considering it hasn't been rechambered and still uses 7.65x53. Low W-block serials, meaning one of the last Argies made. Haven't shot it yet, though I got some old Argentinan surplus to put through it. This is the only milsurp I have so far, though that may change before this thread dies and I'll post the next one here if/when I get it, since it's far rarer.
