Out of what I've handled, the vz58 seems the easiest to me.
You can do 90% of maintenance by just pulling back the bolt and locking it, then using the push pin to get at the gas system.
AKs are so close that it's practically equal, but I think the vz is just a little easier no matter how far I take it down. A lot of aks require additional tools to pull the gas lever release because it's stiff as hell, and there's a minimal bit of fitting required to get things back on. That's probably the things that hurt them the most.

AR-15 because it has to be easy to clean for dumb soldiers. √

AK because it has to be easy to clean for even more dumb peasants

I'll be surprised if this doesn't turn into an AR vs AK debate by the end.

AR in 9 is pretty easy to maintain. MP5s ain't bad the bolt breaks down very easily and you can oil it wipe it off, wipe down the receiver and be down (you should clean your barrel though). CX4 looks to be pretty easy from what I've seen, not sure about the Evo/MPX though.
>>
>>32702018
AUG comes apart in like 6 steps
Take the barrel off
Take the bolt out
Then you can take the trigger group out
It barely gets dirty because the gas system is excellent
>>
>A lot of aks require additional tools to pull the gas lever release because it's stiff as hell

Just use the bottom of a mag to push the gas lever. The extra leverage makes it very easy.

I don't like to scratch things. I have a tool I bought and taped up just for this.
>>
>>32702018
Get you a WASR-10 or any AKM that's a true AKM (No VZ. 58 shit)

All of my other guns take at least a couple minutes to tear down, but I can tear down and reassemble my WASR-10 in ~30 secs.

Unlike a fucking 20ga Rem 870 where you spend fucking 2 hours fucking with the levers to slide the carrier group in.

>A lot of AK's require additional tools to pull the gas lever release

What like pliers? Unless it's rusted shut, quit being a little bitch. It doesn't even matter really you could never clean the gas tube and probably be fine.

Well buddy....

>>32702018
A wasr 10. Ar15s suck if you don't maintain them. Learn from my mistakes.
>>
>>32702198
whoever made this is a retard, you don't need all that lube on an AR.

I shoot corrosive ammo, 545/54r. Otherwise you may have a point.
>>32704722
I prevent it where I can. I'm not going to worry about places that can't be helped.
And I'm certainly not scratching the finish more than necessary on an ak that wouldn't sell for less than 2k, easily.

The gas tube lever on my Saiga is looser than Stacy at a frat party. Not all AK's are created equal
>>
>>32704825
>Not all AK's are created equal
Yeah, my veprs are tight as hell, you'd slice your finger to the bone before it'd move. My ak-74 is just barely loose enough to push with my thumb. My psl is tight, but no real effort to move.

Well that's a Saiga for you, the first time I went to shoot my buddy's Saiga I had an argument with him because I thought he gave me a metal airsoft gun, everything about it felt so flimsy and cheap.

>>32702083
All you need to get the gas tube off us to use the bolt carrier as leverage for that lever

I've got an AR-10, PTR-32 and a VZ-58 and I have to say my VZ is retard proof since everything is out in the open. Locked back and it's guts are exposed. Pop off dust cover, push pin for the piston cover.
>>
>>32704879
>it's

see what I mean? retard proof.

Post pics and tell me about the PTR32. Do it, do it now!

Hi point carbine. run a rod/snake down the barrel every 500 rounds. more robust cleaning every 2k rounds. thing just fucking works

This was when I had just gotten the wood. I ended up refinishing it (stripped the wood, sanded, etc.) and threw an eotech on it.

It's Fun, accurate. The roller delay is actually noticeable in the smaller caliber. I had a couple friends shoot it and didn't say anything beforehand because I didn't want to influence them, and they all commented on the noticeable delay.

Unfortunately it's still a .308 sized receiver, and is as heavy as a PTR-91. I read that it's very picky with ammo and mags. I've only used pmags and wolf steel cased ammo and never had a problem with it. Probably fed 1,500 rounds through it.

In all, since I got my VZ it just sits in my safe looking pretty...still not sure if i want to keep it or not.
