They're awesome hunting rifles but I'd recommend that you stay away from American ammo.

If I wanted to get into hunting, how would i go about it? What resources are out there for new hunters? How do I find hunting grounds?
I do not own a bolt action, but I was looking at a Tikka t3x lite. Any recommendations?

What do you want to hunt?
>>32689049
im on the west coast of the US. I was thinking primarily boar and white tail. Maybe elk? not sure what other options there would be.

Not him, but ask around at your nearest outdoor store that sells hunting permits. There are always dozens of brochers advertising land to hunt on. Or go to the local farms and ask the land owners if you can hunt there. Make sure to give them some meat from the kill.
I didnt harvest it but its too pretty not to share.

Piebald white tail
its caused by a genetic variation aka defect but i feel like defect carries too much of a negative connotation for such a pretty animal.
>>32689202
yeah its neat looking. can you use the pelts for anything?
>>32689202
Variation is correct.
Defect implies it harms the animals necessary-for-life functions. Which considering the look of the animal, isn't the case.

well the fucker is easier to see, and not its dead because the guy who shot it picked it out of six. I would say her colors got her killed.

i mean yeah, but its best to be tanned and hanged on the wall. That what happened to this one.
