'Stake.'

And giving tasty critters a good clean death is far preferable to them getting eaten alive or dying of old age or disease. The bonus is you plenty of lean tasty meat out of it.

It's okay to revere the animal. It's okay to feel a little sorry for it. It's okay to see one and not be in a shooting frame of mind and just watch. It's not okay to cockblock yourself from a perfectly natural activity that 99% of the human race has practiced for 99% of its history. That's not being compassionate. It's being a pussy. Stop it.

start small, water fowl and upland game.

You will know right then and there if you can look past it. Look at is harvesting your own meat (which in reality its just other people doing it for you).

Butchers butcher, predators eat, hunters hunt.

The meat you eat, all died for you to consume it. Killing them yourself in a responsible manner and consuming them is about the best/cleanest way for game to die. As apposed to getting eaten alive through their anus by a pack of starved coyotes.

If you do choose to hunt you will eventually come to respect animals more than you currently do and the process of taking their life for a purpose.

Whether or not you can handle that is up to you.

What do you think you're doing every time you buy a hamburger at the pub?
And those lives are FAR more miserable. And an animal dying "naturally" is the most awful death imaginable when you think deeply at all about it. You're making a quick death of it by hunting.

I love my guns and I shoot them often, but I don't hunt. It's hard when you work with a bunch of rock head yokels who don't understand the joy of guns without hunting. Some of them are good hunters and really care about the meat and the hunt but the others are just typical "gotta get me a big rack" hunters.

Personally, I have no land and don't know many with land that I could hunt. State land is a joke (NY) and overrun with retards. Plus I can get all the meat I want for free from the good hunters at work from their surplus.
>>
>>32672375

Bigger/older bucks are more cautious and much harder to find. Furthermore, selecting for older, more mature deer that have already had the opportunity to pass on their genes mitigates the impact of hunting on the population.

Personally, what annoys me more than selectivity is people that have no interest in the life cycle of deer or their broader ecology, and shoot whatever animal they see. Trophy hunting - keeping the head or hide and discarding the meat - barely exists in North America, with the exception being brown bear.

OP literally never said this. You're confusing this for a too-smart-to-own-guns pasta. Even if it IS bait, I have the same problem. I'm a hardline second amendment fag, I just don't like actually hurting things I don't have to. I'm not anti hunting for both philosophical and ecological reasons, I just have a hard time with it myseld. Necessity is a different situation; I think I could see my way clear to that.

I am a carnivore though, and humans are built to be omnivorous. Vegan diets can only be supported at great effort and with volumes of supplements if one is to stay healthy. They don't reflect the human ecological niche, and ultimately animals taste really, really good.

>Lol Faget eating meat but not hunting
Yeah, it's kind of indefensible, particularly given the relative conditions of life and death and the ecological impacts. Unlike a grabber though I know when I don't do something on account of muh feels and muh feels alone. If commercial meat suddenly stopped being available I probably would take it up

>What is a gaseous state for $500 Alex

OP, why don't you just go hog hunting then? Hogs are horribly invasive and there's enough that you could kill as many as you want and still not have made a dent in the fuckers.
>>
>>32680835
I'll give you that fact that it was a bit of hyperbole for the sake shitposting but, refute the idea that what makes a good christian is devotion to the lord and the emulation of his life. To sculpt your behavior and effectively live for another.

veganism isn't healthy by itself though. there are plenty of chips and processed foods that are vegan, for example, and many vegans don't eat the right foods because they're into it for ethical reasons and don't read up on health.

what you want is a nutritarian diet, which at its strictest is vegan. lots of raw and steamed vegetables/veggie soups. raw and cooked beans. some raw fruits, 2 servings of certain nuts or even better seeds. also b12 and d supplements. also light, low-impact cardio and back exercises.

if someone was doing this from childhood they would probably live to be well into their hundreds and die comfortably. but a lot of vegans i know i will die in horrible shape at 70 because they just focus on making vegan cheesecake which is garbage for you.
