m8 for protection against niggers breaking into your home use an IFV. A 20mm autocannon is more than enough firepower for anything small enough to get through your window. Plus it's cheaper and easier to maintain.

T-55. Cheap enough you don't have to sell your house to buy it, and has all the basics you need from a tank.

For home defense, you don't really need the whole tank, just buy whatever destructive device you want and mount it behind your front doorway. I've heard things from 75 mm howitzers.

T-34 is the best tank for beginners, strongest gun, sloped armor, reliable, and easy to fix.
