No memes or nut hugging aside - 03xx or 11b? I want to do soldier shit and fuck around with guns and demo. Do you get a lot of training time as both? How is deployment life for both? I want to do 4 years.

Well former 0311 that deployed. It's peacetime. You'll get lots of training with it tho. You want to fuck around with it?
Oh, you will. It's called sitting at the armory for 5 hours cleaning it even though it only took 30 minutes tops.
As always, I always tell guys if you have to ask between Marines or Army you probably want Army. Marines are for people who know they want it, because it is voluntary Hell.
0351 if you want to fuck around with demo. You get to shoot rockets too. Not sure what the army equivalent is.
11b has more opportunities for promotion due contract attrition rate

Peacetime garrison life sucks.
TBQH famry SOC units are the only place to be if you want in depth training AND the chance to use it right now. Problem is demand for Rangers, SF and the likes has likely dropped off, meaning less slots, higher fail/drop rates and more competition with combat veterans for said slots.
Working with ODAs (and their attached USAF STS guys) in shitghanistan (from the intelligence end) was the coolest shit in the world for me though.

I did 11B then to 25C. Picture related. You don't have to be an operator to work with operators.

With that said, 11B is really probably the way to go. It affords you the pathway towards SOF of some sort a lot easier than the Corps. I know there's MARSOC, but you'd be surprised what an incredibly large number of Marines transition over to the Army SF community.

Starting at the base and working up is generally the way to get the most respect and requisite knowledge along the way, it's a longer, harder road than it was during the heavy GWOT work unfortunately, but still entirely feasible for someone with the motivation and skill set.
Alternatively with the Army there's so many ways to get into lines of work that cross paths with cool dudes. Intelligence, logistics, maintenance, comms all can get attached to SOF units. EOD is a great way to go since Rangers and SF are now pulling their own SOF qualified technicians...if you're crazy enough to pursue that.

You might be surprised homeskillet. Endurance and strength are very easy to build. Selection requires drive and only moderate intelligence. There are a ton of nerds on ODAs.

Leaning more towards the 12b than 11b, since 12b mess with explosives.

Whatever makes you feel good. Not gonna huff and puff and beat my chest, but I'm not talking about hearsay. Have worked with more than a few guys in that field who you wouldn't think twice about sitting behind the IT desk at your 9-5 or behind the counter of your local gamestop. I don't think you know much about that line of work to be honest.
I was shitposting here before I served, while I served and since I discharged.
