is desert eagle only handgun using .50?
is there a handgun that shoots bigger ammo?
>>32631674
No, Automag and Grizzly.
Yes.
Smith & Wesson Model 500
Why didn't you just google it, you worthless piece of trash? Both your questions are answered on the fucking .50 AE Wikipedia page. FFS.
>>32631674
50 AE while large in diameter is not as powerful as a good number of revolver rounds. What you are asking smacks of equating 30-30 with 300 win mag, as the 500 S&W, the current reigning champ for power in factory offerings in factory handguns, is the same diameter but far more powerful.
>>32631709
The funny thing about .500 S&W was that Smith & Wesson were getting pissy about not holding the current "biggest, most powerful handgun round" title.
>>32631792
Right and for strictly power via factory loads I think its the 460
>>32631674
A gunshop in my area has a single shot 30-06 pistol.

There is also a 45-70 derringer
>45-70
>3 inch barrel
I dare one you fuckers to start CCing one of those
>>32631936
Not as powerful as you think. Lots of wasted powder.
>>32631953
This. Unless you reload with really fast burning powders this chambering is wasted potential

Magnum research makes a 45-70 decently powerful. 50ae isn't as powerful as many think. .500 with 500 grains=broken wrists. S&w500 I feel is the most powerful revolver. Desert eagle 50ae most powerful semi (depending on the load) both are fun to shoot. But stupidly expensive. Pic related I own both.

Helaas doen we dit discipline niet bij onze vereniging. Ze hadden er namelijk ook een in 7.62x54r.

shiiit, ik wou dat ik tijd/geld had om bij een schietvereniging te gaan

Yeah, if your wrists are made of glass. I have yet to see any evidence of people breaking bones from firing a .500 magnum. It's almost as embarrassing as that old fuddlore that .44 can break your arm if you fire it wrong.

no (see Magnum Research BFR)
no (novelty Nitro900 revolvers exist)

Oh man, I gotta try this.

I mean 52. Fucking fingers.

What are you on mate? There are handguns that fire .45-70, not to mention .500 Magnum. I guess you could argue the bullet diameter isn't much bigger, if at all, but in the context of his question I think he meant if there's anything more powerful.
>>32633883
I had a contender pistol in 45-70 for a long time and shot it with moderate loads. When I first bought a 500 I was afraid that it was going to kick my ass. With factory loads it doesn't even kick as hard as the contender, which I had long gotten used to. The contender seems to recoil harder anyway though compared to most other guns.
The grips on the 500s soak a lot of recoil.
>>32631906
to be honest, they did a good job in both claiming the title and making the gun
Hey, why does .454 kick harder than .500 S&W?
I shot both and .454 had far moar kick
>>32631674
Why not just use high explosive bullet with low velocity round? Less recoil, big damage and stopping power.
yeah but none of those are semi automatic so who cares
>>32631674
you fucking faggot, you murdered a defenseless thread with your autism
read the fucking sticky
read the fucking wiki
search the fucking archive
now go light yourself on fire you drooling mouth-breather
the kinetic energy required for ammunition to have armor or barrier defeating properties require it to have as much velocity & mass as possible

Wasn't the .50 Action Express invented for the Deagle specifically? Or am I pulling that out of my ass?
>>32639181
No, it weas developed by a guy working for Action Arms, but the Deagle was the only production model to use it.
>>32637048
Pretty sure outright explosive bullets are NFA items and nobody wants to pay $200 extra for a tax stamp per bullet.
