I think you have missed the point of the SKS /k/comrade.
The point is that it's a cheap, g2g semiauto centerfire carbine chambered in an intermediate round.

The logical answer to your question is to buy a Chink battle bra off Amazon or Ebay for under $20, some surplus strippers for as cheap as possible, and be adequately kitted out in stuff that was explicitly designed to all work together and has been used in several actual wars effectively.

In 2017 the full cost of a full SKS kit is still less than an entry-level AR on its own and if it's not you're doing it wrong. Also be aware that these guns are twice as expensive as they were 7 years ago.
